Let's say you kidnap a Travelocity Gnome and something happens to him- update post 84

You need to draw a dead body chalk line around him. :lmao:

Another brilliant idea. This has been a great thread.

Take the broken gnome to LV, take a picture of the pieces. Get the new gnome. Send all three items back with a note that says What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

:lmao:

I'm so paranoid now that something will happen to the new gnome.:scared1: We plan on stopping at the Hoover Dam and taking his picture. With my luck he'll end up going overboard. I can think of a hundred things that could befall the new gnome on this trip!

Another thought I had (and I know I'm being really dishonest here and I'm starting to not like myself, but desperate times call for desperate measures:rotfl:) was to lead everyone to believe that the new gnome is really the old gnome, and that the broken gnome was a new one that we purchased so just we could have more fun with this whole thing.

I'm probably going to end up like the murderer in Edgar Allan Poe's, "The Tell-Tale Heart" and have my guilt reach such a level that I'll give myself up.:headache:

We had a great time in Las Vegas, and so did our gnome.:rotfl: Here are a few of the pics that will be added to his travel journal. I've decided to not say anything about gnome #1 and his mishap. Gnome #2 has one more short trip to Phoenix and then I'm mailing him back to my cousin. I've decided to go with idea #3 and not say anything about the first gnome's mishap. Some day, at some really fun family gathering, we'll let the cat out of the bag.

At the Hoover Dam.

Here he is with the ladies. One of our "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas" pics. We have several others, but I'm afraid they aren't DIS-family friendly.

This thread is so funny. Glad I found it. I needed some laughs today. Going back to the link of all his adventures.

I think it's time for your gnome to enter the world of Youtube with his own music video featuring Patsy Cline's "I Fall to Pieces". Now all you have to do is find a sexy girl gnome to play his love interest. The old gnome and new gnome can share the guy part.

I say number 3.

We bought a Travelocity gnome for my dad at Meijer. If there's one near you, it might be cheaper than paying for express shipping.

Do you think they still are selling them at Meijer? A Meijer just opened by my house a few months ago and I have never been in there! Do you remember what section of the store it was in??

Thanks :)

Present your family member with two boxes. Give them the first one:

It is the broken gnome with a t-shirt that says, "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas."

The second box is the new Gnome with a T-shirt that says,"What a difference a vacation makes!"

That is hilarious :lmao:

I'm glad I could provide you with a few laughs! The whole "kidnapping" was done in the spirit of fun. I can only hope my relatives are still laughing when they find out about the demise of gnome #1.

It's a shame we can't see the rest of the Vegas pix. Tooooo funny.

I know, right.

Here are a couple more Vegas pictures, ones that are family-friendly!

It wasn't easy to get pictures of the gnome on the casino floor. I'm sure taking pictures in that area of the casinos is frowned upon. I took this picture early one morning before it got too crowded. We walked around until we found an area where no gambling was going on and no other patrons were around. As soon as I readied the camera, my husband quickly set the gnome on the table and I snapped the picture. We then scooted away.:rotfl:

We had lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe on the Strip, and the hostess at the door was more than happy to pose with our gnome. She was very outgoing!

Here is gnomie frolicking with the Fab Four. This was taken at the Mirage where the Beatles LOVE Cirque Du Soleil show is performed. We've seen the show twice and it is AMAZING!! I highly recommend it!

The gnome is going on one more day-trip tomorrow. I'll post a few pics, then some pics of him with the gifts he's taking back to Maine before he is boxed up.:)

If you have a photo editing program, put the gnome up in the airbetween the performers (at the 4 o'clock position.) They'll wonder how he got there!

If you want me to do it for you, I can. :teeth:

Okay, this gets my vote for the funniest freaking thread EVER. Absolutely hilarious! You guys are a riot.

I'm not ready for the gnome to go back home. Please reconsider and keep him traveling.

You could alway say something like the new gnome is a "chip off the old block" of the old gnome

Love the LV story line
