Let's post our summer Visa discount & GP summer deals too!

POR only has garden view rooms and above. I first decided to move to CSR then changed my mind and we are back at POR. I really just prefer it!

YC needed to fill more rooms than BC. This goes back to people pre booking reservations. Disney looks at resorts and how many rooms they have booked and offers discounted rooms to fill resorts with less bookings.

You know, I would think that as well except there appears to be more availability at the BC during our stay.:confused3

Looking online, BC has rack rate non-CL rooms available in standard, garden and lagoon/pool. YC only has garden view.

I planned on staying at BC because when I originally checked a couple of months ago, YC only had lagoon/pool view available. So after initially checking on BC this morning, I asked the CM to see if anything had opened up at YC and there it was, with a better discount.

Thank you Black562 for posting the details, I have been looking everywhere for the past hour for details on this offer with no luck. I don't understand why Disney Visa doesn't send emails to all the cardholders? Thanks again.

35% off AKL Pool View. Just saved over $1,400 on our 12 night stay!!! Woo hoo!!

The Disney Visa discount won't work for us. We have 2 nights booked at the AOA LM room. Never discounted. Just wanted to post for anyone who is looking for a discount there, I rebooked on Orbitz and saved $60 off our 2 night stay there. You have to use the code "Discover" and it applies to certain resorts.
Of course this would not do folks any good if you were wanting the dining plan since you couldn't add it with Orbitz, but we don't do the dining plan and the $60 savings is great!
Glad you guys are saving lots of money:cool1:

Hi I just called and got the discount.

I could not use it at POR but I got a AAA on a standard room and that is fine.

I did however, switch my 3 night stay from a standard view room at CSR to a pool view room at AKL for only $220.00 more total for the three nights.:cool1:
My family is really excited about trying this resort.

I asked the agent and she said I got 30% off at AKL.

Good luck everyone:goodvibes

For me, looking for a break on rack rate at ASMu preferred room, discount only applies to family suites:worried:

AoA - Lion King is $2544.64 total for 7 nights, June 21-28.

Did you check on Orbitz? I got our discount for LM room on there. You can't ever catch a Disney discount for one of those rooms. Not sure of your dates, but ASM regular rooms are available on Orbitz (I just check random date in August). Discount code is "discover". You do have to pay up front and you couldn't get the dining plan though.

Hello,
Anyone who has called for the Grand Floridian and got 35% off do you know is it for Garden View Only?? I am booked for lagoon not sure if they are gonna make me downgrade for discount? Also where can I found these countdown to Disney things?

Called and found out the discount didn't apply to POFQ where we were booked. Inquired about upgrading to AKL. With the 35% off, we're now staying at AKL pool view for 9 nights for only $552 more from POFQ. We really like POFQ, but we were really hoping for a discount to come out that would allow us to stay at AKL. We're so excited!!! Much less than the price it would have been at AKL without a discount, a price we weren't willing to pay.

Anyone else have to put down an additional $200 deposit? We already had a package booked, got the discounts applied, and then the cast member told me the promotion required an additional deposit. We've never been told that in the past when having discounts applied.

Hi,

This morning when I called to apply the promotion to my RO ressie she asked if I used my disney visa for the first booking. I said yes but I have a different number now. She then said because they couldn't match the numbers I had to put an additional nights deposit. Which I never had to do before.
However, this afternoon I wanted to try to upgrade my POR ressie without putting another deposit (split stay) and the CM asked if I used a disney card I said yes and she applied it. I did not have to pay again.

I am not sure what your situation was but I hope this helps.:goodvibes
