Let's post our summer Visa discount & GP summer deals too!

I have a Disney Visa and never received anything about an offer. Am I missing something?

That's why I love this site so much. I still haven't received an email and I didn't see it on the rewards website either.

Called yesterday at 7AM to get the discounts thanks to all the great people here.:goodvibes

I'm planning on taking advantage of this deal but my check-in date is 8/27.. Will this special offer cover the rest of my stay too or just my first two nights? :confused3

We were booked at the POP but with the new discount we were able to switch to the CBR for only $60.50 more for the entire 7 nights! :cool1:

The boys are very excited about the pool and having a water slide and hubby loves the "beachy" theme, so all is right with our world - now can it be 17 weeks from now so that we could be on our way?! :drive:

It will only cover your dates of 8/27 and 8/28. Room only discounts are only for the dates indicated, they do not carry over for the length of stay like free dining does.

I would check the memory maker deal.... That may cover your entire stay. (Resort discount up to 25% I think plus free memory maker. :)

Aww, I guess I'll just have to wait for another discount to appear.
The memory maker package won't work for me since it includes tickets and I'm already an AP holder.

Thanks guys!

I tried to modify my 8/15-8/16 reservation in Nemo suites, but there weren't any available, only Lion King and cars. Since the rest of our trip is booked with PIN discount 8/17-20 and FD bounceback 8/20-25, there was no way I was switching out of Nemo for the first two days, especially to save only $68. But thanks for the heads up about the discount! Good luck to everyone else!:)

I called this morning for our one night stay in Nemo suites. CM said Nemo is not part of this promotion. I inquired why is that not listed like Mermaid rooms. Her response was the Nemo usually are not part of a promotion. I never knew that before.

Not true. Probably "sold out" for your dates. Offers have limited inventory.

That's what I said. She said they are not part of it. I have read other posters on different threads say they called first thing yesterday morning and no Nemo available. I did ask if they would be released when GP offer on 17th and she said no. But I will try on Monday anyway!

Thanks Joe :). Also March 17th it is open to the public you wrote, ...that would be amazing! Want to up grade my ressie to club with the 35% so if not Animal Kingdom, looks like Wilderness lodge could be an option, doesn't exclude for CL. So hopefully that will be an option for our family. Can we call on Monday Morning before the discount is stated on some sites, like mousesavers or the Disboards. Thank you for your patience with me pixiedust:

You can call first thing when phone lines open at 7am ET. Ask for the summer discount. I think Joe mentioned, you maybe able to get the offer online even earlier. Just click the link, Special Offers, on disneyworld.com. It's toward the bottom of the home page.

No way, "earlier" :cool1:..... That would be so fantastic, have to do this when I get home later... We have master-card not visa so the public offer is key... Thank you :thumbsup2

Last year, the fall promotion that released August 1 for free dining was available online just after midnight. Those making new bookings started booking then.

Those that had booked ahead and needed to modify....had to wait SEVEN long hours and basically got the leftovers.

Yet another reason to not book ahead. :thumbsup2

Did you check on Orbitz? I got our discount for LM room on there. You can't ever catch a Disney discount for one of those rooms. Not sure of your dates, but ASM regular rooms are available on Orbitz (I just check random date in August). Discount code is "discover". You do have to pay up front and you couldn't get the dining plan though.
I am not really wanting to book orbitz because you have to pay it all in advance. I just noticed that I could get a discount on preferred at music with orbitz- thanks to all on this thread. :). But I was able to get ap rate for preferred at music last December so I will wait to see. Thanks to all and good luck!!

sorry if this is a stupid question, but do you need to pay for your trip using the Disney Visa in order to get the discount? I read through and understand that you need to put the $200 deposit on the visa, but just curious if you have to pay the balance on the visa as well. TIA!

No just put the deposit down with a Disney Visa that is what I do and pay the rest with my debit card

I would be floating around yes. It doesn't mean it will go live at midnight this time....could be 1am, it could be 3:25am, it could be 6:13am, there's not a real rhyme or reason, just someone flipping the switch.

I want to think that time it was a random time after midnight like 12:35am.

This is what my Travel Agent indicated about the discount: "I already checked on this offer for you this morning and you cannot come in before the 15th to get the discount. Most dates Disney is not giving discounts on the moderate resorts for rooms that accommodate more than 2 in the room. French Quarter is even completely blacked out for all dates. This offer is very limited with tons of policies associated with it. The only way to even try to get it is to split your stay into 2 reservations. You will have to check out and back in and there is no guarantee that you can stay in the same room.

I would call Disney myself and inquire about the discount. I have found many Travel Agents to be either clueless or lazy when it comes to getting discounts after the fact for their clients. Please do not take this to mean ALL TRAVEL AGENTS as there are many fine, hard working, Disney knowledgeable ones out there. But, given what you were told, I'm not sure yours is one of them. (All Moderate resorts have rooms that hold more than 2 people for gosh sake!! and I have found WDW to be very good at getting a continuing reservation in the same room) Really sounds to me like he/she just doesn't want to bother. I had one of these once, insisted I was not eligible for a discount until I conferenced them into my call with CRO! I'd check myself and see what you get.
