Let's post our summer Visa discount & GP summer deals too!

Hi I just called and got the discount.

I could not use it at POR but I got a AAA on a standard room and that is fine.

I did however, switch my 3 night stay from a standard view room at CSR to a pool view room at AKL for only $220.00 more total for the three nights.:cool1:
My family is really excited about trying this resort.

I asked the agent and she said I got 30% off at AKL.

Good luck everyone:goodvibes

Hi I called back about my POR ressie and the CM I was able to me upgrade from a standard view room to a garden view room. The catch was I had to pay $1.00 extra for the upgrade.:rotfl:

Hi Joe. Just checked Mouse Savers and it states a bunch of excluded resorts and villas but no Animal Kingdom club. Was this said to you by a cast member because on Mouse Savers, it didn't say Animal Kingdom club?

Animal Kingdom Club is discounted less than others, but still discounted.

Hi, This morning when I called to apply the promotion to my RO ressie she asked if I used my disney visa for the first booking. I said yes but I have a different number now. She then said because they couldn't match the numbers I had to put an additional nights deposit. Which I never had to do before. However, this afternoon I wanted to try to upgrade my POR ressie without putting another deposit (split stay) and the CM asked if I used a disney card I said yes and she applied it. I did not have to pay again. I am not sure what your situation was but I hope this helps.:goodvibes

I bet you're right....the card was different. Chase sent me a new one because of the the Target mess. I'd have to pay at some point either way, right? ;-). Thanks!

Anyone else have to put down an additional $200 deposit? We already had a package booked, got the discounts applied, and then the cast member told me the promotion required an additional deposit. We've never been told that in the past when having discounts applied.

Yes, I had to pay an additional deposit. We had paid the original deposit on a different credit card so the CM said I had to have a deposit made with the Visa card.

I have a Visa card but my trip total is higher then my credit limit....do I only have to pay $200 or the whole trip?? And what are th chances Disney will come out with a better offer?

I just ditched my Orbitz reservation for AoA cars suite August 11-21. Booked the Disney Visa offer for Wilderness Lodge Woods view, 10 days $2370.55. 35% off. $184 LESS than AoA! So excited because it seems WL always has a lower discount or is excluded. Not this time! :cloud9:

I was told you have to pay $200 today using the Visa and the balance has to be paid off with the Visa card as well. The same discount will most likely come out next week but will allow you to pay using a payment other than the Visa. Usually the same discount comes available to the general public around a week after the Visa offer began. I'd keep an eye out. I don't think Disney will come out with a better offer. We've been going for several years every other summer. This is the best deal we've ever gotten. We're tickled pink!

I have only used my disney rewards for half of my deposit and my discover for the other half and they gave me the discount.

We were originally booked in Art of Animation-Little Mermaid Room, which was not included in the deal.
We switched to POP Century for the discount.

Wow, the CM was so helpful and nice. He switched us in a matter of minutes.

We saved $400 on our 7 night stay in July.

Hi the target mess is what made me have to change card numbers too. It is the reason then. The CM was talking to me.

I am glad I could help.:goodvibes

However, you got love how the CM's do different things because like I said when I called back to talk about my POR she didn't ask me much of anything. I wish there was consistency either way. Oh well!

Why couldn't you use it at POR?

At the time I would have had to put another deposit on the second reservation because my visa cards didn't match. I opted not to do the discount because I couldn't afford another deposit.

However, I just posted a while ago that anther CM upgraded me to the garden view but didn't ask for any other information.

I am sorry if I caused some confusion on why I didn't do the upgrade at first.

Happy planning:goodvibes

I have a Disney Visa and never received anything about an offer. Am I missing something?

PP is correct about the payments and the discounts. However, in the past with a package you put on your visa card you have a 6 month no interest grace period, I don't remember how the monthly payments work. It has been a few years.

Other threads are saying this will be the general discount coming out on Monday March 17,2014 for most of the summer.

Happy planning:)

I had no luck adding the Visa discount to our already booked room only reservation for August 3 -10, RPC theme park view. I was told no availability for the discount for our dates ( on two different call:rolleyes1 )

But, switching over to a Visa package, which is the same room category and includes the tickets, saved us $1300 over the room only reservation and buying tickets from Undercover tourist.

So very happy!

I had a Bounceback booked (stupidly with another card!) and when I called to modify to the Visa discount, I offered my Visa number but they were able to keep it on the original Amex deposit. :scratchin I'm guessing it was easier for them than having to refund the Amex, though I was willing to put an additional deposit on Visa.

I used it for a one night room only reservation at WL.

How much did you save? The CM quoted me a toal of $5 savings for one night of a three night stay since the promotion ends on my check in date.

Animal Kingdom Club is discounted less than others, but still discounted.

Thanks Joe :). Also March 17th it is open to the public you wrote, ...that would be amazing! Want to up grade my ressie to club with the 35% so if not Animal Kingdom, looks like Wilderness lodge could be an option, doesn't exclude for CL. So hopefully that will be an option for our family. Can we call on Monday Morning before the discount is stated on some sites, like mousesavers or the Disboards. Thank you for your patience with me pixiedust:
