Let's post our summer Visa discount & GP summer deals too!

For whatever it's worth...I received an email with the offer yesterday and called last evening. I was on the fence as to if my family and I would be going back this summer because of the whole FP+ thing but Pete made a good point on the podcast show which kind of put things in perspective.

So I called and priced out my trip for August 11-20 and compared to booking through Disney, I saved $700.00. The rep on the phone priced my package out various ways i.e. with dining, without dining, etc. The savings gives us some nice options to do other things. :cool1:

I believe that you have to pay with your Disney Visa - whether in full or the $200.00 deposit. Look at it this way, if you pay with your Disney Visa, you'll get the reward points....which you can then use at WDW.

I would call Disney and see what they say about this discount. If they say you can do it, then I would just book it directly with them while you have them on the phone and then email your travel agent and request that they cancel your existing reservation. You'll be refunded the initial $200 deposit.

I would be floating around yes. It doesn't mean it will go live at midnight this time....could be 1am, it could be 3:25am, it could be 6:13am, there's not a real rhyme or reason, just someone flipping the switch.

I want to think that time it was a random time after midnight like 12:35am.

Joe, sorry for another question, is there a code that needs to be put in order to get the discount on line though.... or does the system just apply it. never used on-line reservation before. Thank you :worship:

We are doing a split stay with 7 days at CSR business class and 4 days at AKL savanna room. SO I think we should get 25% and 20% if I understand this right. I also heard something about a discount if you booked with tickets. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance :)

If your room category is available for your dates, CSR would be 25% off. I didn't have the CM run numbers on business class for our early August dates. I was interested, but went standard room instead and got 25% off. I don't know about AKL. The ticket discount is buy six days get one day free.

Okay, here's some info. on where we're at.

I just called to see what I could do with my existing ressies.

Split stay - 6 nights POR garden is what I had with a AAA discount. 1st week of August.
Was told only available rooms with Visa discount was Pool, River and RR.
Pool ended up costing me almost exactly the same as I was paying. So, I did switch to the upgrade because my boys will love being as close to the pool as possible.

2nd part, I had 4 nights at BC Garden with AAA. However, it was going to cost the same there :confused3 for the same thing with the VISA. This is 2nd week in August.
So, I switched to the YC Garden with the VISA and saved $200 off of the 4 nights.

Net savings of $200 off of discounts I had already and a room upgrade, if it's one you want. Riverview would've costed more and don't know where in the scale of pricing RR is.

Hoping the availability of rooms at a discount are better after Christmas.

I was quoted 4 nights at GF garden view8/24-8/28 with dining plan (2adults, 2 kids) and 2 day base ticket for $2900. Didn't think that was too bad! Never stayed at GF so we are excited.......

Praying that they offer that 35% off the YC for October stays!!!! popcorn::

Does anyone have any ideas when the end of October discounts will be released?

I saved just over $1,000 by switching from. BC to YC, garden view. My husband's brother and sister each saved close to $500 for rooms at Caribbean Beach.

We all booked Thursday with the Disney Visa discount

I know you can buy the Dining Plan if you gave AP discount on your room, but can you buy Dining if you have a Disney visa card discount on a room. Sorry, had to edit, my spell check gas a mind of its own.

I know you can buy the Dining Plan if you gave AP discount on your room, but can you buy Dining if you have a Disney dining card discount?

I assume you mean the Tables in Wonderland discount card? If so, we've used it in the past for "extra" things we've ordered that are not covered by the dining plan -- things such as appetizers (if we were just doing the regular DDP) and also for adult beverages.
