So many complaints and bad reviews about CRT and no one is doing anything about it. Everyone who has eaten there needs to write to disney and tell them how bad your meal was. Everyone needs to stop going to CRT. If word gets around how bad it is now, people will stop going and they will quickly loose customers. They will then realize what mistake they have made and change it back to what it was before. Great food, great service, great menu, good prices. For those who have ADRs for CRT, cancel them. I know you want to experience it for yourself, but would you rather use your money or credits for a place you know will have good food or take a huge risk and wasting a lot of money or 2 TS credits per person and have the risk of having bad food and service? Until things go back to normal at CRT people need to stop wasting their time, money and credits on this place. As long as CRT keeps getting customers things may never go back to the way it was. I always made sure I ate at CRT every time we go down. It was my fav. meal. But unless things change and go back to the way it used to be, I'm afraid Im gonna have to find a new fav. place to eat. I am not the only one who is doing this. My sister is planning a trip with her DH and their DS and she didnt even think twice about eating there. As soon as she saw the changes on the menu she quickly told me to exit the menu and bring up another one. So PLEASE write, complain, stop going, cancel your ADRs! Let's help bring CRT back to the way it used to be!

We actually made reservations at the Norway princess dinner because we didn't want to deal with all the photos and stuff that are included at CRT. All we want is dinner and a few princesses...

Actually it was bad when we went in 1996 when it was King Stefan's Banquet. We haven't been back since but apparently it gets enough fans to have price increases, a new name, and hard to get bookings for tables.

For myself, I'd love to see CRT revert to the former lunch-no characters or, especially, the old lunch menu. But it's pretty busy there, so apparently enough people like the change.

I absolutely hate the new dinner menu. This also was one of our favorites and when it changed in February, I stopped going. It was one thing to have character meals for breakfast and lunch, but they totally ruined the dinner there.

What has happened there? We ate in June (breakfast). Has something changed since then?

We really enjoyed our meal at CRT in May 2005, but with the changes, we decided not to go back this year. We don't care about getting our picture taken and we really don't like the limited menu.

While I'd love to see it change back, I'm guessing it won't happen as long as they can keep turning that profit.

Actually I'd love it if it were more like V&A for dinner... dining like the royals.

That's a great idea. Maybe one night a week (or more depending on popularity) having a more sophisticated meal in the castle. :thumbsup2

Sorry, but I won't cancel my reservation at CRT. I'm not sure why you say I should? :confused3 I'll have to experience whatever the problem is for myself. Sorry.

Thats the way it should be permantly. Dining like your royalty. I mean after all you are eating in a castle. It would only make sense. In my opinion I thought how things were last time I was there which was Sept 2003 was perfect. The service was great, the food was awesome, our waiter was really nice. You could order anything you wanted, you werent limited. And to top things off, it didnt cost as much. And I believe it was only 1 TS credit at the time. Now, you have to spend $40 per adult (rounding it off) or 2 TS credits, the food from what I've heard has gone to the dumps along with the service. I cant understand why people even eat there. Only complaint I had last time we were there was we had to wait 30 mins from when our ADR was. And I think that was because they were getting a table ready for us by the windows because it was DH bday. Which by the way we had a GREAT view. It was DHs first time in disney so I wanted everything to be perfect and he instantly fell in love with eating in the castle. He wanted to eat there for our anniversary next yr. And I told him we shouldnt, not because of the cost, but because of the food. So Im REALLY hoping things will pick up between now and the time we go next August. Maybe they will bring things back to normal or at least offer the old menu again. If they wanna keep everything else the same, prices, pics, etc so be it. I just want them to bring the old menu back along with the great service and food quality they used to have. All I can do is make my ADR in Feb. If I dont see any changes made by the time we go, Ill cancel my ADR before we leave, and we'll just eat somewhere else that doesnt require a ADR or check when we get there, maybe we will get lucky to go to a TS without an ADR. Hopefully this change was only really for this celebration and they will make a better change for the next celebration.

You dont understand? Have you not been reading the reviews? About 90% of the reviews are saying service, the food, everything has gone bad. Why would you wanna eat there? Just because its in the castle? Everything has changed. The service, the food quality, you have a VERY limited menu, its EXPENSIVE, using 2 TS credits on CRT is a complete waste at this point. But all I can say is good luck. Maybe u'll be one of the 10% to have good food and service. But dont say I didnt tell u so if u have a bad time and meal.

I made CRT ressies last year for my extended family and dd. I was very afraid of the food really stinking. But, I was very pleasantly surprised. Our meal was delicious, the service was wonderful, the chracters were great. We had a wonderful experience. I'm a gourmet chef, so I'm rather picky!

DH and I are eating there in October. A co worker of mine was there in early August and had a wonderful time. We have never been there before and really want to eat in the castle! Everyone says how its gone down hill, but we have never been there so we have nothing to compare it too. I think it'll be a fun experience. Maybe I'm wrong, I just think everyone has the right to there own opinion. :thumbsup2

Because they want their children to be able to eat in the castle and meet the princesses.

Not having children, I quit going there entirely when they raised the price into the stratosphere and started requiring diners to buy a photo package. If you don't have kids, why do you need a photo package at all?

I don't know anything about the menu but I have heard that the quality of the food has declined, but the food was never the selling point.

I ate breakfast there with my niece in June and enjoyed it, I thought the food and service was very good. It was overpriced but the picture package was nicely done. I mainly wanted my niece to have the experience and have no complaints. I paid cash, I didn't want to use 2 dining credits for breakfast.

My family ate at CRT in April for my DD13's birthday, dinner time. It was not the first time we've eaten there over the years. First time since the changes, though. We thought it was very good actually. Our server was very good and so was the food. My kids like the interaction with the FGM and the mice and the picture with Cinderella. We'd eat there again this way or the other way either one.

Last year was before the changes! I used to love CRT for lunch and was heartbroken when it changed. But now the price is higher and the quality lower.

I think its a good idea to unite and let Disney know how we feel about this!

Nope - sorry - I won't write and I won't cancel. I think Disney did the right thing by raising the price. Its not impossible to get an ADR now which I like very much. I didn't think the food was fantastic before but we go for the atmosphere. I'm sorry that people are upset and if enough people stop going Disney will make changes, which I will except, but until then I will be happy with CRT the way it is

Okay, I've eaten breakfast and lunch at the castle, and enjoyed the food at each. But both of those meals were before the price / menu change. I do have a dinner ADR at CRT this Feb, for my b-day dinner. I know I've read mixed reviews, and to be honest, probably slightly more negative reviews. But, and no offense to anyone here, I always try a restaurant myself instead of going by other's reviews. So I'll be keeping my Feb ADR, and hopefully I'll like it. (And, I have no kids, but I still want the photo package and lithograph.) If I don't like it, I won't eat there again, but I wouldn't flat-out tell people to not eat there, and to cancel there ADRs.

Before the changes guests "in the know" made their ADRs almost exactly 90 then 180 days in advance. They'd go almost every trip and guests who didn't know the ropes got shut out.

Now CRT is available to more of the "regular" guests. The food and service may not justify going every trip but Disney is getting more money and a greater number of guests are able to get reservations. I don't see Disney changing back.
