Let's have a fun discussion. :D

I prefer DL's Space Mt, Indiana Jones (to Dinosaur), Buzz, Tiki Room, GRR (to Kali) and Pirates. While the DL version of Pirates is far superior tro WDW's , I must add that I recently experienced the Pirates at DLP and declare it to be my all time favorite version! Aladdin is by far and away my favorite Broadway-type live show. Top notch music and production values, plus the Genie's ad-libs keep it constantly fresh.

Attractions that are a toss-up for me, as I like aspects of each version: Splash Mt., BTMRR, Peter Pan, HM, Soaring, Jungle Cruise, TSMM,

Attractions I like better at WDW ToT, Innoventions, Snow White.

Attractions at WDW that I wish we had at DL: Everest, Safaris, Festival of the Lion King; Philharmagic

Whatcha guys think? :D

Agree? Disagree?

What's the difference?

Other than wondering that, why aren't you in DL right now doing all the rides you haven't?

If you look closely at the film, such as when the firetruck comes through the wall, it has a WDW tag, and it has the (then) MGM Studios in the background. That pretty much the only reason. Plus we have the Jello in the net, and the key under the mat. :D

I wish I could. I need a plane ticket. D:

My DD (5) HATES Fantasmic at WDW. She refuses to see it again. We are going to DL this summer (her 2nd trip to DL) and last night she was jumping up and down with joy yelling "YEA I get to see Fantasmic! I get to see Fantasmic-- with Peter Pan and everything! I can't wait". Have to say, I agree with her that DL's version is far superior.

Just a few others are:

We prefer Peter Pan at WDW. I don't get why a lot of people seem to thing DL's version is better. I think WDW's ride is better AND it has fast pass.

Indiana Jones at DL can't be beat. I wish they would gut Dinosaur at WDW and replace it with Indiana Jones.

We much prefer Snow White at WDW, and are upset they are closing it down. We don't care for DL's version.

Small World and POTC, DL clearly wins in our books.

Monorail- I don't think you can fairly compare. At DL, it feels more like a ride. At WDW, it is more a form of actual transportation. DL it takes you from DTD into Tomorrow land, with a little tour through part of the park on the way. WDW, you can take the resort line between a few of the resorts, or the ones to MK or to Epcot. DL you have to fold strollers, where at WDW, people stay at monorail resorts because they don't have to fold strollers to get on the monorail.

Now if DL, could just get an Epcot World Showcase....;)

And Murphy when he's working! (And not falling in lakes.)

Apparently our Fantasmic! has more recent films, with the whole Pocahontas scene. Eisner's doing.

While you guys have Peter Pan and Pinocchio. Which probably is a much better thing.

Better at DL >

Pirates
Tiki room
Autopia
All of fantasyland!!!!
It's a Small World
Space Mountain
Remember Dreams Come True, Fantasmic!, and day time parades
Mainstreet
Indy

Better at WDW >

Splash mountain - richer details, doesn't hurry through the ride, 3 great drops
Big Thunder - ride seems longer to me and is just a great ride at night there.
Snow White
Winnie the Pooh is a toss up. I like the bouncing cars but love the dream sequence at DL.

My DD would have a few words for Eisner in all her outgoing 5 year old outspokeness. The Pocahontas scene is one of the big reasons she hates WDW's version- she hates all the loud shooting.

Actually, I'm not a "you guys"- I'm more on your side of the fence. ;) (A WDW vet, that in recent years has made a few trips to DL and really gained an appreciation for it).

I like Astro Orbitor better at WDW, I also like that that WDW still has People Mover.

So knowing that, which park do you think best pulls off the Magic Kingdom style park?

The actual Magic Kingdom? Or Disneyland?

And Marcemc, totally agree with you. The Peoplemover is one of my favorite attractions.

Sorry, I just had to rephrase your question correctly.

Which park do you think best pulls off the Magic Kingdom style park?

The original, built by Walt Disney himself, at Disneyland? Or the late-comer built in the swamp?

:lmao:

That is like asking me to pick which of my children is my favorite! (Okay, I only have 1 kid, but you get the idea). Can't answer that question. I love them both.

Bad Granbob Bad.

Disneyland, MK is too much like walking through a mall, lacks many of the attractions, and is more crowded.

How would you rank the parks, DL, DCA, MK, EP, DHS and AK?

Disneyland, Magic Kingdom, Disney's Hollywood Studios, Epcot, Animal Kingdom and then Disney's California Adventure.

If we were to throw in Paris, it would be right after Disneyland.

Hong Kong and Tokyo I can not speak for, unfortunately.

DL, EP, MK, DCA, AK, DHS.

That would be my rough order.

My rankings...

1. Disneyland
2. Epcot
3. Magic Kingdom (It is really lacking though after visiting it last week) It just feels so empty and heartless after visiting DL so often now. California Adventure seriously might move ahead of it after the 2012 refurb is over. I hope it does.
4. California Adventure
5. Hollywood Studios aka MGM
6. Animal Kingdom

WDW- Tower of Terror, Splash Mountain, Tough to be a Bug

DLR-Space Mountain, Pirates
