I'm a D23 member.. they gave me a nifty pin for signing up on Day 1. I don't like the patch I got with my latest magazine, though... It's a Motor Boat Cruise patch, which is alright but I wanted Submarine Voyage, The Skyway, or the "Monroail" (yes they spelled it wrong on the patch!)

I did a fun new drawing of the alligator girl from the haunted mansion today!

Addictions can make people do crazy things?

Someone told me on Monday that she's addicted to apple juice, and if she goes a few days without it, then she gets apple juice withdrawal symptoms.

They should make adverts that scare people into stop smoking. They had these gross ones in the UK at one point, that showed how your arteries can get clogged with cholesterol, by showing someone squeezing it out of a replica artery.

There's also this smoking advert in Australia. Check out it's creepiness.

I quite liked the NHS' recent adverts about how kids can imitate their parents, so smoking around them is bad.

That video was disgusting, but at least it proves a point. I think I know which one you're talking about, the one with the Junglebook song in it?

I don't think I've ever been addicted to anything that when I didn't I've got symptoms from besides exercise. lol.
I didn't think that could happen, only with smoking or drinking or drugs.

D23 pretty much just garantees you get the Magazines (4 a year), a lithograph of Mickey, and a membership card.

With the past two issues, there's been special surprises like a replica souvenier DL fan like they sold back in '55, and in this last one, one of 6 patches commemorating the rides that opened in '59.

I've also recieved a Charter Member Day 1 pin, and will be attending a *free* tour of the Walt Disney Studios and Archives in Burbank!

So, so far, I've got 3 magazines and a lot of fun! I wish I could go to more events like the Studios tour, but most take place in California (only one event in WDW so far).

Also, for the past two issues 23 lucky members get an-extra-special-extra. For the 2nd issue, it was a signed picture of Donald and the man who voices him. For this last issue, it was all 6 of the patches.

It's really cool, it's worth the price to me, because A) the studio doesn't offer tours to the average person and B) the mags alone are like $16/issue. So, for $75 dollars and shipping, I get $64 dollars worth of magazines and a ton of freebies.

Thanks! I just drew that this morning 'cause I was bored... I draw really weird, I started at the bottom and drew up. (So, sticks and rope, then alligator, then feet, legs, skirt, arms, etc.)
