Let the (Soaken Wet) Memories Begin TR- Update 12/8

Really? That totally fooled me!

Oh my goodness, I really want one of those dessert trays RIGHT NOW. Want to go down and bring one back for me? :rotfl2:

I love the Belle dress! So very cute.

I think you are Le Cellier.

Le Cellier next?!

Still reading.

I'm still here. Just haven't been big on the comments on any TR lately.

Love Aislings dress. Belle looks like the pook-a-looz they have in the park.

Yay!!!! Glad you are all still here! And yes, you are all right....we were heading to...

Le Cellier is now a lunch restaurant for us. Although we've had really good luck here and always get yummy meals, it's no where near worth 2 credits for dinner. If lunch goes to 2 credits, I doubt we'll eat there anymore.

Anyway Randy and Aisling continue to color with *gulp* Sharpies (Dear Disney, please get a contract with Crayola, Love Moms everywhere)

So I mentioned that I amused myself with Canadian trivia. Unfortunately I was standing next to the most obnoxious family ever. The kids would just scream out all the answers without waiting their turn. If they didn't get picked, the would SCREAM that they knew the answer too and demanded the stickers they were giving as prizes (you know those Mickey head stickers that you end up with a thousand of by the end of your trip???). And the kids were older so they definitely should have known better. One would think that mom and dad would jump in to correct them. Um nope, Dad would also complain if they didn't get stickers. He also made fun of every wrong answer. And if you his obnoxious kids got an answer wrong, he would tell them "I don't think they guy is right." I wanted to back hand him :rotfl2:

Well the question...how many Canadians are French speaking? Nobody knew the answer. I casually said "about 1 in 4 I would guess" The guy turned to me and laughed and muttered under his breath about me being an American. Luckily for me, the CM heard me and asked "ma'am did you say 1 in 4?" I said that I did and the man laughed at me again. The CM handed me my stickers for being right. :teacher: And I turned to the King of Canada and just smiled. His response...."they are wrong, about 80% of Canadians are French speaking" I spent the rest of our wait praying that we wouldn't be seated next to them.

And my prayers were answered :) We had gotten to our ADR about 20 mins early and were seated about 20 minutes late so Aisling and Randy had plenty of time to work on their Duffys. At some point, I finally received a text from Erin. Poor thing was still waiting for us. I felt so bad telling her that not only were we NOT still on the boat but had already done the Seas and were now in Canada!

At that point, I needed and deserved, something alcoholic ;) Shockily, I had yet to have a Pina Colava on this trip yet so that was my choice

349.jpg

I also got the Red Maple (Raspberry smoothie with Sprite as my drink but that was really for Aisling)

350.jpg

Lunch was steaks all around (I had the Mushroom Filet, Randy had the New York Strip, and Aisling had the Kids Meal Steak)

353.jpg

0ur waitress was so unbelievably sweet but slow as molasses. Our ADR was at 1pm. At 2:15, I was panicking that we would not make the 2:45 Behind the Seeds Tour because we still hadn't even ordered dessert. I ordered dessert and asked for the check at the same time. It was close to 2:30 when they arrived...which I was annoyed about because there are only 3 desserts on the menu, you KNOW they are pre-made and she just needed to run to the kitchen and grab them. However, it turns out, they were making it pretty. Unfortunately we only had about 2-3 minutes to inhale it because I knew if we didn't get out of there by 2:30, we weren't making the tour.

354.jpg

I squared up the check and had Randy and Aisling run up ahead to pay for the tour. Unfortunately I had forgotten how slow 7 year olds can walk to I easily caught up to them ;)

What do you think? Will we make it????

80% of Canada is French-speaking, lol. I live in a bilingual province and we only have about 35% of our population with French as a first language.

OK, since I haven't been on the DIS in days, let me start my commenting!

For dinner at Sci-Fi Aisling had plain buttered noodles (not sure about the side), and both girls got the Tinkerbelle cup with the light up Tink. I also have to say that Aisling was super sweet and read the menu to Olivia and helped her decide what to eat. :lovestruc Livy still thinks it was really neat the the two little ladies got to sit "alone".

As for that whole morning of texts (or lack of) in Epcot, I am convinced that the Land pavilion eats texts! It really wasn't a big deal at all! We really weren't sitting there for hours like you are making it sound!!! We needed the little break since we had been up early for our princess breakfast.

I loved the Behind the Seeds tour. My mom and I did it together last December. There was this awesome plant that if you touched it or breathed on it that it would close. Did you get the little activity booklet they give out? It had plans to make a hydroponic garden. I tried it, but didn't have the patience for it. :rotfl:

I know I read your last update and I could have SWORN that I commented on it. :confused3

I can't stand obnoxious people like that who think they know EVERYTHING. So annoying, they shouldn't be allowed into Disney.

I never understood the whole coloring with Sharpies thing.

Your lunch looks fabulous but I have to agree the last time I ate at Le Cellier it was forrrreverrrrr slow. I don't like to be rushed but too slow is just as bad as being rushed.

OK, just a question- so if you order an adult meal for your 9 and under kid, it still counts the same as if you had ordered them a child's meal? Good to know! My DS is 9 and really not little enough for the kids meals anymore so I'll have to remember this tip! Unless I am misunderstanding?

Woah! Those know-it-all son and father were very annoying. And wrong! LOL

I was wondering if perhaps he was from a DIFFERENT Canada :rotfl2:

Well at least you know what my kid was eating :rotfl2: The Land definitely has an issue with texts...remember we lost Randy later on that day and he couldn't hear the texts???

Well if we MADE it to the tour we might have gotten the booklet :rolleyes1 Aisling took everything they would give her!

I find it weird that when there is a clearly a backup on the ADRs that they aren't instructing the waitstaff to rush people. I can't even imagine how late they were running by the time we left but they entire hallway was completely filled and the outside area was packed up the path.

OK, just a question- so if you order an adult meal for your 9 and under kid, it still counts the same as if you had ordered them a child's meal? Good to know! My DS is 9 and really not little enough for the kids meals anymore so I'll have to remember this tip! Unless I am misunderstanding?

Well...technically the answer is no. You have to order a 9 year old a kids meal. Now, if that child wasn't with you when you order that CS meal, it would be hard for them to tell (and the credits are all the same). It's trickier at TS restaurants. They ask their age when you make the ADR and now they ask AGAIN when you check in. So you would have to tell them they are 10 to be able to order adult meals. But then you would have to buy park tickets too. Which is why we tend to eat at a lot of buffets because Aisling is just NOT a fan of kids meals.

Woah! Those know-it-all son and father were very annoying. And wrong! LOL

I did feel a little sense of glee when they handed me my stickers ;)

Just found your TR and LOVE it! Your daughter is beautiful and her customs are Amazing!! Wish I had the time and talent to do that! Can't wait to see if you made the tour...I've always wanted to try it...thinking maybe on our next adults only trip with DH?!

Thank you!!!! Triplets???? :worship: And another? :worship: You're my hero!! If I did make the tour I would definitely recommend it ;)

Of course we made the tour...us Smiths walk fast when we have to! :rotfl:

We got to the tour spot just in time. Which means that you literally can pay for that tour seconds before and be FINE if you ever want to do it. Which I would recommend. It really was neat and informative.

For order of business is the bugs. Aisling was picked to release the ladybugs. If you don't know why they release ladybugs, I won't ruin it but let's just say Aisling is now obsessed with finding some when we plant our garden next year

358.jpg

359.jpg

I have one question every year about this ride/tour. WHY don't they sell the molds? They would make a fortune. Even Aisling was eager to eat a Mickey Head Shaped Cuke

363.jpg

Seriously, ever year I come back thinking that THIS year someone at marketing will smarten up but alas no molds for us

Disney is the Guinness Book of World Records for their tomato tree....who knew?

365.jpg

Aisling took FOREVER to release her ladybugs. She wanted them all placed perfectly.

Love these little alligators. They always look so warm and toasty

Now I will warn you that this tour runs 30-40 minutes OVER what the guides say. So if you do plan this tour, plan it when you have plenty of time at Epcot.

When we finished up with the tour, I had one task in mind. BELLE! We had to go meet Belle in her "blue outfit" Which meant walking all the way back to WS quickly AGAIN. I checked the Mobile Magic App and she was due out in about a 1/2 hour so I wanted to get there quickly. So off we went.

We did stop for some PP pics

We arrived in France and Aisling and I hopped in the REALLY long line. Daddy went to get a treat for Mama

374.jpg

Aisling started crying pretty quickly after we got in line. She stated that she had a really bad headache. Now Aisling unforunately gets migraines. But I know her symptoms and this did not seem to be it. I figured she was probably dehydrated. Randy grabbed her a bottle of water but she wasn't hearing it. She kept crying. Now before you worry that I'm a horrible mom...she did want to meet Belle so she was voluntarily staying in line but tears were just streaming down her face. A CM was walking up and down the line with updates and saw Aisling's tears. She asked what was wrong. We explained she had a headache and would be ok. She pulled Aisling out of line and explained that Belle was coming out first alone and Beast would be joining her in about 10 minutes. She told Aisling that if she was okay with just seeing Belle, we could skip the line

Not surprisingly, Aisling said yes. And oh my goodness WHAT a Belle this was. She was SOOOOO good. Headache completely forgotten for a few moments!!!!

376.jpg

She made SUCH a big deal of Aisling's outfit. The highlight is when she told Aisling that she was going to have Mrs. Potts sew Aisling's pictures on HER apron. Aisling just eats this stuff up!!!

When we finished with Belle, Aisling started complaining about her head again. And it started to rain...again. So we ran for the boat launch to go back to FW (we still had those FPs for Soarin). On the way, Randy decided it would be a great idea to get a RED Kaki-Gori to cool off the little girl in a mostly WHITE custom. Do you see where I'm going with this????

And this is what led Kristine to have the moment that I'm least proud of during the trip :rolleyes1

Seriously? You are going to leave us hanging like that!?! :lmao:

I am glad you liked the tour, I've always wanted to do it but just have never fit it in.

I adore the Belle photopass pics, I'm so glad that Aisling had that special moment with Belle. :lovestruc

yup, I am ;)

I'm glad Aisling had the moment too. Sometimes, this "grown up" girl needs a smack back into the reality of being a 7 year old kid. And she got it with Belle!!!

I forgot about the Ladybugs! There were only 5-8 people in our group when we went. I got to release some too! But I remember there was a little boy that got picked and he kept shaking the poor ladybugs. :sad2:

I'm glad Aisling got her chance with Belle. Especially a special one.

How nice that you Aisling got such a nice meeting with Belle AND got to bypass the line!

Those are beautiful photopass pics, that's one of the things I love about Disney World, our little girls act like little girls for a while, they grow up so fast.
Always enjoy a good cliffhanger !!!:)

Has anyone EVER gotten into Le Cellier on time for their ADR? I swear they always seat late.

Seriously, I would have said something to that annoying family. I have a big mouth and don't know how to close it. :rotfl:

That pic of Ash & Belle just melted my heart!

Oh no, you aren't going to pull a Kate Gosselin "SHE'S RUINED!" with the Kaki-Gori are you?! :lmao:
