Let the (Soaken Wet) Memories Begin TR- Update 12/8

I love the Buzz drawings! I keep saying I am going to take the time to do the animation studio, and yet I still haven't done it. :headache: It looks like so much fun!

I can't believe that they sent a diver to get someone's phone! Only in Disney!

Ok, all caught up on your TR, I love all of the customs, they are so beautiful. I think my favorite picture is Aisling asleep on the bus, so reminds me of Maddie, she can fall asleep anywhere !!
:)

Thank you!!!

The last time I rode Star Tours, I was sick for the entire day. Had to cancel our Fantasmic package at Mama Melrose. I went back to the room and slept while Jason had fun in Epcot. Not a fan, refurbished or not.

I did okay with my eyes closed but then again I take Dramamine every day too!

Thank you!! You still haven't tried the drawing class? Oh you have to. It's really fun and only takes about a half hour.

Tomorrow is a month since we've been home and I've not even finished Day 3 of this TR! Better get a move on!!!

Well after we had a little rest, we got dressed to head back over to the Studios. We were very excited because the sun was shining and there was no rain in the evening forecast so hopefully we would be able to go ahead with our evening plans.

First up was mommy taking some pics getting to the boat landing.

Apparently our afternoon nap was not long enough for Aisling would again fell asleep on the boat

096.jpg

We arrived at the Studios and stopped to watch this while we were waiting for our dinner friends

097.jpg

Aisling was really excited to be reunited with Olivia...it has been WHOLE HOURS since they had seen each other

099.jpg

Any guesses where we went for dinner???

Here is a hint

Well when you keep your child up until the wee hours of the morning and then make her get up for rope drop, what do you expect except that she falls asleep everywhere?! :rotfl: JUST KIDDING!!!!!!

Super  that pic of Randy and Ash walking down the dock. ADORABLE!!! Frame-worthy. :thumbsup2

I love Aisling's purple custom outfit. It's really adorable.

I love the purple custom! Very cute.

I can't believe she fell asleep on the boat again.

Thanks Ladies...it's actually a Villain custom but you really can't tell that. I need to put more close up pics up.

I know...poor Ash. She can't hang like she used to ;) :rotfl2: Now, no giving away my TR secrets ;)

Well of course we went to dinner at Sci Fi. Love this place. We spend all year trying to convince our kids that it's NOT okay to eat in front of the TV and then we take them here ;) :rotfl2:

107.jpg

The ladies took the driver's seat, Erin sat in the middle, and Randy and I hitchhiked

That waiter was super fun. One of the best we had on this trip :thumbsup2 He had a lot of recommendations and definitely tried to get us to use DDP to our complete advantage to get the most food we could. Clearly he didn't realize that we had family pictures coming up and was trying to bloat me :rotfl2:

112.jpg

I had to order the Magical Star because I always order it here!

We did decide to change it up for dinner based on the waiter's recommendations. I had the shrimp pasta

113.jpg

Randy had the steak

114.jpg

I have no clue what Aisling ate...she was too far away :rolleyes1 and I was too busy paying attention to Uncle Walt

115.jpg

I had the new red velvet cheesecake for dessert. It was yummy although I must admit that I liked the Year of Million Dreams cheesecake with popcorn slightly more

116.jpg

After Dinner, Erin decided that she was going to skip Fantasmic and head back to the hotel with Olivia. It was a long day for a little girl

119.jpg

We headed back out into the park and it was getting pretty late. We decided that we would use our FPs from this morning and squeeze in another ride. We made the mistake of going to TSM first. (somewhere that morning we had snuck in a 2nd trip on the ride but clearly I forget when that happened???) So this would be our 3rd ride today. Well we got in and the line was nuts (yes the FP line...not the regular line). It took us forever to get through it. When we were coming down the staircase into the line, Aisling fell down the stairs. She was fine but she was a tired little girl and was not very happy about her fall. We got outside and we didn't have a ton of time to get to the 2nd showing of Fantasmic because it was already like 9:30pm.

128.jpg

So sadly we never made it onto RnRc that day. We decided that we would try to come back on one of our down days (since we had PHs) just to ride it. In the meantime, we had the one night show on WDW property Aisling had yet to see in all our trips....

Even though we got up to the seats pretty late by Disney standards, it was really not too bad crowdwise at Fantasmic

143.jpg

Aisling amused herself handing our glowsticks the kids around us...who of course looked at us like we were trying to give them crack instead of a glowsticks :rotfl2:

140.jpg

142.jpg

I took an insane number of pictures of the show. Here is a sampling

This one I just liked the effect of the firework...it's like pixie dust

Anyway, Aisling loved Fantasmic. It will be a must-do for her from now on. Although next time she really would rather that we skip dinner and get one of those new dessert trays. :) After the show we headed out to our quick boat ride to BCV. Aisling nodded off (shocking!) and I took the quiet moment again to update the FB world ;)

268.jpg

And that was it for Day 3. Day 4 would be here in just a few short hours ;)

Oh and for those admiring the custom...here is a close up of the other Villains on the skirt

Just started reading your trip report, LOVE IT!!! dont know if its been asked yet but where did u get the mickey plane shirt? its adorable!!!!

Okay, I love that custom even more, it has my favorite villain Ursula! :thumbsup2

What is this dessert tray you speak of?

The red velvet cheesecake looks good but I'm a cheesecake purist, just give me the cheesecake part and leave out the normal cake. :lmao:

Looks like I'm losing readers quickly! Better get moving again!

Day 4 (Monday, August 22nd) was our first Epcot Day. Being the good DISer, I had figured out how to get around the secret back pathway instead of walking all the way out to the main Boardwalk entrance of Beach Club. Randy and Aisling were pretty impressed. They also had NO clue how close we were to Epcot in general so it was pretty thrilling to show them. Although this then set up Aisling to "just run over quick to Epcot" whenever we had any down time.

At this point in the trip, we were desperately in need of a morning where not a single alarm was set. So that's what we did. We didn't wake up terribly late but we took our time getting ready and having breakfast in the room.

278.jpg

We ended up getting to Epcot at about 11. Not too terrible. However, at that point, we figured that we better head straight to the Land to get FPs for Soarin. The wait time wasn't too terrible so we decided to ride and Randy went to get FPs. Somehow we got separated. Aisling and I went through the entire Soarin' line expecting him to try to catch up with us but he never did. And our phones were not working so Aisling and I went ahead with our plan to ride.

We got done and realized that Randy must doing single rider. Because of that, he had a fairly short wait and only ended up in the 2nd group after we got off. When we finished, we headed over to find out about doing the Behind the Seeds tour. We have a vegetable garden at home and Aisling really wanted to do this. Since it's one of the more reasonable priced tours (and we got a Disney Visa discount), we decided to do it. The morning tour was about to leave but we had a lunch ADR so decided to come back after lunch. A note if you want to try this tour. It doesn't get very full so you can book right at the beginning of your tour...no ressies required.

We decided while we were in the building that we would sit down and cool off on the Land ride. At some point in line, I texted Erin to see if we should wait for them. I never got a text back so we just went. Turns out, poor Erin and Olivia were standing for God knows how long in the Land waiting for us to get off the boat but we had completely missed them :sad2:

We got off the boat and apparently walked right by Erin. I checked my phone...still no text. So off to the Seas we went.

After the Seas, checked my phone again....still no message from Erin so off to Lunch we went.

We got to our ADR and it was packed. We got our buzzer and I participated in trivia of the country and Randy and Aisling started working on a Duffy at the Kidcot. Any guesses where we were???

339.jpg

Love your Fantasmic pictures, in all of our trips with Maddie we still haven't seen it, we are really going to try this year :thumbsup2!!!
That Kidcot Stop looks like the one in Canada, we spent a lot of time cooling off there in the shade last year.

How did you find the crowds? We are thinking of going next year the last week in August before school starts, and I am worried about crowd level.

The crowds weren't too bad. Actually this day at Epcot I noticed a big drop off. The first weekend of our trip was really packed but Monday came and it really wasn't too bad. It was definitely busy, don't get me wrong. You still needed to make smart use of your FPs but it was manageable.

I'm still here. Just haven't been big on the comments on any TR lately.

Love Aislings dress. Belle looks like the pook-a-looz they have in the park.
