Our first trip to BWV was a rental of DVC points in December 2009. We got an un-refurb'd room, but we loved the location and amenities so much we couldn't help but dream of when we'd be heading back.

Well...today marks step 1 of the journey, we booked! :woohoo: :woohoo:

We are renting points again and will be there from February 10-17, 2012 in a Preferred View Studio. Of our 7 total nights, we were able to get 5 of them with a Boardwalk View, which I'm super psyched about! Last trip was in a Standard View the whole time, so this should be great. We'll have to make a switch for two nights (which unfortunately land right in the middle of our stay), but I honestly couldn't care less---we're heading back to Disney! :lovestruc

Sooo, now for the all-important question, since I've never stayed in a Boardwalk or Preferred View Studio, which rooms should I make a request for? Are all Boardwalk View rooms created equal, or are some more facing the interior courtyard with only a partial view? Do some have bigger balconies than others? Details, please!! :thumbsup2

Gotta run, time to update my ticker. :yay:

We stayed in PV last time and have a fantastic studio with a Village Green view. It looked out on the lawn area just on the BW side of the lobby. We loved the location. We are heading back in March to the BWV again, but this time managed to get a BW view for ourselves. I haven't decided if I'll make any requests of not. We like to be on a high floor and will have strollers, so may request close to the elevators. But, if we had to trek down the stairs it wouldn't be a bid deal since our strollers are lightweight. We'll see...

Meanwhile, enjoy your upcoming stay! And be careful...we started out renting points, too, and now own 2 contracts!!

All the boardwalk view studios are above the boardwalk. The ones facing the inner courtyard are preferred garden view. I always request top floor for boardwalk view. If you have problems walking, request close to elevator because most of the boardwalk view studios are farther down the the hall. For preferred view, I would request Village Green, which is the inner courtyard. Those are close to the elevator.
