Not the most "christmasy" photo...but at least Santa is in the background. From left to right...Sadie the Miniature Schnauzer (9.5), Phoebe the Airedale (12) and Zuzu the miniature schnauzer (5.5...and niece of her Aunt Sadie on the far left). This is their room....that chair, beds on floor, bed and blankets on window seat (and nose prints on window).....their domain. :). They love to look out on the yard and see the squirrels, birds and their bestie Cody who lives next door. They're the best :).

What is your Westie’s name?

My current westie is Obi, in the first post. My previous Westie’s were Schroeder, Dexter, and Dodger.

I also just pulled an 8 year old male westie from a local shelter to foster. His name is Champ.
Sweet names!

That's Charlie in the photo being carried by my brother. We'd just concluded a two hour walk in a park alight with lights and sculptures. Beautiful setting! Tired little legs out though.

My Cairn is a cousin! I read that at one time, years ago, they were considered the same breed (?), but later became distinguished by their different colors and had a name change. Believe it or not, mine was wheaten in color when he was young (first pic here); he turned grey as he got older (second)! I’ve mixed up some dogs who were light and thought they were Westies when they were actually Cairns.

I love both Westies and Cairns! We went to a meet recently and it was so much fun being with other dogs who make the same noises he does and no one batted an eyelid! It’s cool you’ve had so many Westies, and brought one in need home to foster just in time for XMas! Very good of you! ❤️ @Neapolitan Ice Cream You lost one not too long ago, didn’t you?

This is Oliver, our miniature Aussiedoodle. We got him this past June, from a neighbor who is a breeder. He was 11 months old at the time. We have never had a small dog before. In the past we’ve had large dogs, our previous one was a chocolate Lab. But with our lifestyle now we thought a small dog would be better. He is really a sweet little boy, I just wish he would stop chasing my cat🙂

And this is my cat, Meesha. She turned 4 in July. She is very cuddly, a great lap cat, but still doesn’t like the dog☹️

I love black labs. We had one for several years. It seems all labs have that loving, kind spirit! They are wonderful!

She's a mix, but she looks like a black lab from most angles and her personality is very lab-like. The ladies that watch her when we're away often struggle to keep her from playing in her water bowl. I believe her mom was a black lab, but dad was a shepherd of some sort. Either way, she's an absolute doll. She had her mischievous moments as a puppy (don't they all?), but she mellowed out well before the 1-year mark. I often refer to her as my most obedient child 🤣
