I know it's off topic, but...

Two years ago today we saw two different types of people:

Some are those who are willing to give their lives to kill people they have never met.

Some are those who are willing to give their lives to SAVE people they have never met.

Never forget.

On this of all days - let's put aside all the angry feelings over the last couple of days and concentate on what is important. Our friends and family.

We are blessed to live in countries that promote freedom, we are blessed that we have the education and means to communicate electronically, and we are blessed that in the past, present or future we have a Disney Cruise.

God Bless Everyone - take a moment today to remember 9/11/01.

Ditto on the previous posts !!

A friend of my sister's was the pilot on AA filght 11, the first plane to crash, and I lost a member of my HS graduating class. :( Today is very sobering for my family as I am sure it is for most families in this great nation. I was thinking on my drive to work today how every single one of my "problems" are so trivial and how blessed I am. It is too bad that it took such a tragedy to put life in perspective for me.... Let us never forget 9/11/01.

I reflect back to that day every day, and realize just how blessed I am to have a wonderful family and great friends. My DH is a firefighter and I am so proud of him!!

God Bless!

My son Jason is in the US AirForce - and will soon be shipping out to England. It is very sobering realizing what kind of world we live in - but reassuring that we are surrounded by those that will and do fight for our Freedoms and our way of life.

To paraphrase....

"I am Proud to be an American!"

NEVER FORGET!

There were 17 obituaries in our local paper in the weeks following September 11, 2001. There are many memorials and daily reminders around here. I live halfway between DC and NYC and no one around here will ever forget.

Thank you for your post.

Thank you for this thread. While I did not know any of those that lost their lives on that fateful day, I have felt personal effects from the tragedy. My husband (Army National Guard- Special Forces unit) was on active duty for 18 months and was even deployed to Afghanistan (left about this time last year) for 8 months. I have a lot of friends in the military. I appreciate the sacrifices that each has made- family member and soldier alike.

We will never forget. May God continue to Bless America!

without me remembering that horrific day and realizing how precious life is, how blessed I am to have a wonderful husband and four beautiful children and how truly fragile our world has become. Everything changed for me that day......how I view life, and how I live life!! My husband is a firefighter, too, so this hit us especially hard. My 7 year daughter slept with my husband's firefighting helmet for a year before she finally felt ok again while he was at workand away from us So very sad!! I feel such pain for the families that have had to endure this unthinkable tragedy!
God Bless
Michelle

Wow. What you wrote is so meaningful, and so well put. Thank you for the reminder.

I can't remember when so few words have said so much.

Thank you to all those who protect our freedoms.

Amen to all the previous posts and a big thank you also to the families of all those brave souls who protect us. (I was an Army wife once).
