Lets count up the missed points:

2 Bonfire
3 Emergency (don't get in trouble!!)
2 Hot! lets assume lots of people with perspiration
3 Hydrant, open for fire
1 Helicoptor
3 Ladder extended on fire truck
3 People in uniform at work (firemen)
2 Queue - for the cars trying to get out
1 Team - assuming that the firemen were working as a team
2 Uniformed Worker - assuming the police were there

I count a total of 22 missed points :headache:!

Now, that's just sad right there.....:rolleyes1

How exciting. I'm glad you guys made it out without any trauma.

I'm an extremely absent minded, so I rely on routine. When I come home from a shoot, I take out my card and pop it in my computer. I leave my camera by my computer as a reminder that the card is not in it. Once I've dumped my pics, I put the card back in the camera and format it. Then I set my computer on top of the dresser I store it in and charge the battery nearby. Once the battery is charged, I put the camera in it's home with the battery in it.

I'm usually the same way. If I have a battery on charge or the card out of the camera, I'll zip the bag up and leave the Nikon strap hanging out of the zipper. That to me says something is different than how it should be and I need to figure out what I left out of the bag.

I did do that, honestly I did. I think it was the explosions that may have forced me to overlook the strap. :rotfl:

Honestly, I surprised myself by grabbing the bag. I don't remember grabbing it at all. It wasn't until we were pulling out of the driveway till I even realized I had it with me. If my wife were home, or had the kids out, I would have gone in for the card and had a few hundred pictures to share. Oh well, maybe next time.:thumbsup2

Next time!!??!! I'm thinking you should be hoping it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.....

You'd think! For some reason, things like this seem t find me wherever I go. I've been through and seen some really crazy stuff in my 32 years. I'm starting to think I'm invincible :rotfl2:

I'm the same way -- except I don't use a card reader, so I never even take my card out of my camera at all, unless I'm out shooting and need to switch a filled card for a fresh one. But if I did, I'd do something similar.

My wife is one of the neatest, most organized people I know. To put it mildly, I am not so much. But she is forever searching for her keys, purse, wallet, teething medicine for the baby, or any number of small, often-used items. I, on the other hand, always know where to find my keys (right hip pocket), wallet (right back pocket), a pen (left hip pocket) and so on. I think I'm just so absent-minded -- ADD in a major way -- that this is my method of adapting and working around my weaknesses.
