Okay, so my family is at DQ last Thursday when my DS(9) complains that his eye hurts (he had also complained the night before but we thought it was better). We tried to see if there was anything in it but didn't see anything just as we had done the night before, we had also tried to flush the eye with running water and put him to bed with a cold wet cloth on his eye. So anyway, he is complaining his eye really hurts and he can't play any games and since we were in DQ and he is 9 years old, we figured he must be serious because what 9 year old kid is going to pass up a chance to play all the video games he wants. We asked the closest cast member for directions to the first aid station so we can get his eye checked and flushed but she didn't know, so we headed down to the exit and asked again for first aid and we were told to go to the ticket window. We went outside to the ticket window and asked for directions to first aid and we were offered a band aid, we explained that we needed to go to an actual first aid station and were told that they didn't know where one was.
So we proceeded to ask 3 more cast members while walking through DTD where fist aid was and each cast member said "I don't know", we finally came across a Disney "suit" and asked him and he said "Let me find that out for you". The Disney "suit" returned with a Disney security guard who asked us what we needed, once we explained, he started talking into his radio and said the mobil unit would be there within 5 minutes. Sure enough within 2 or 3 minutes a golf cart type ambulance pulled up with 2 EMTs on board, while the EMTs talked to DS it started to rain so the next thing I know there were about 3 Disney "suits" with umbrellas all standing around us and protecting us from the rain and the security guard was directing sidewalk traffic around us.
The EMTs flushed DS's eye and applied a large band-aid patch and told us to leave that on for about 2 days and said his eye may have been scratched by whatever had been in it, they also advised us to give him Advil and gave us 2 cold packs to apply to help reduce the swelling. When DH and I thanked them and said this was an awful lot of attention for a little kid with something in his eye, they said there is no "first aid station" in DTD and they are called in when someone needs first aid, they also gave us directions to the walk-in clinic just in case his eye did not get any better.

So the lesson learned is that there is no "first aid station" in DTD and most cast members do not know it and do not know how to find first aid.

I would like to give a big thank you to the cast members, EMTs and security guard who did assist us.

And by the way, DS's eye was just fine after 2 days with the patch and we even got him a pirate patch to wear over the band-aid patch.

Wow (on multiple counts)!

The CMs should know there's no first-aid station in DQ.
The suit should have known, too.
The EMTs showed up fast!

But, I hope your son isn't coming down with pink eye...

That is nice to hear. I'm glad that they took good care of your famiy. :goodvibes

Wow, sorry to hear you had such trouble with this! I'm surprised that you couldnt find one in DQ! You'd think with all the machinery, etc this would be a very important place to have one! I hope he's feeling ok!!!

I sincerly hope I'm not being rude, but picturing this in my head was kind of funny:

At least they helped you out pretty well once they found out what in the heck they could do!
