Has anybody eaten here?

I have a fairly fussy-eater (3 year old son) will there be anything for him to eat here, or is there a childrens menu as such?

How far in advance do you reccomend making PS'?

Is it worth a visit or should I try somewhere different?

Any advice appreciated.

Hi Richard-

My DH and I ate here on our last vacation. We found the food and service to be great. We didn't have our DD with us, so I don't know about the childrens menu. I would suggest a lunch ps (the earlier the better as the restaurant will be pretty empty), and your child will probably do just fine.

Enjoy your trip!

We ate there last Oct. It was surprisingly good, not one of my favorites but it was ok. We had and early dinner and it was nice to just sit and relax. You might want to check out at menus at www.wdwig.com/menu/menus.htm. This will give you a better idea of whats available.

I wonder how is Chefs De France is compared to Le Cellier in terms of food and atmosphere. My FH and I have never had french cusine before. So we don't know whether we will like it or not.

Chefs de France is probably our favorite restaurant at WDW. However, we are somewhat adventurous and love French food in general (even my DD9 likes escargot!) There is a children's menu and we have eaten there with our kids. I would tell you to give it a try!

As for PS, it would depend upon what time of the year you are visiting. If you are going during a low attendance period, then I wouldn't worry too much about advance PS's - you can leave your schedule flexible and make the PS on the day that you attend Epcot. However, if you are going during a peak attendance season, I would make them in advance.

Thanks for your help everyone...

I think we will give it a try on our next visit (me and my wife love french food, so my son will just have to give it a try, lol), we are visiting at Xmas Time: December 4th - December 18th: is this a high attendance time?, I guess so.

Any more help or advice...

We love Chefs de France...the food is excellent (to answer someone above...better than le cellier). The service is great....the atmosphere is very nice. We like the little patio on the right, or a window table where you can watch that statue.

I too Have eaten at The French restaurant but without the kids. I found it to be not very kid-friendly but extremely tasty. Then again, I eat escargot. I think Le Cellier is equally as good and much more suited for the little guys. My kids love the Chocolate moose that they offer for desert. It actually looks like a moose(made with chocolate, cookies and Mousse.)
