Leptospirosis: recent outbreak in MA

I saw this on Channel 5(Boston) in the last 10 days or so,but can't find it on their website! Did anyone else catch this story! They broadcasted a story about a dog(I think his name was "oodles") who contracted the sickness. Its very contageous
for dogs and people.

there's actually been a few outbreaks over the past 2-3 yrs. My vet makes sure my dogs have their lepto vaccinations.
She also says to make sure you clean the outside doggy bowl every day- especially after it rains.
