Lego Mindstorm... Discounts?

Interesting about Amazon and tax. We aren't charged tax on Amazon here in NC, however on our annual tax return we are supposed to note our on-line untaxed purchases and add the tax there . I wonder if anyone actually does that?!

Well I bit the bullet and ordered from Amazon. Mostly because it was working out a bit better price wise and I had several other things in my cart so I just went for it. Now it's done and I'm not looking anymore!

Interesting. I just ordered from Amazon and had it shipped to a NY address and did indeed pay tax. However, I use a Canadian billing address for my credit card so maybe it's because of that?

After I hit post, I thought I might have misspoke. I seem to remember NYS coerced Amazon into collecting, but a lot of other websites do not, unless they have a b&m store in-state.

Here's another twist I just found....If you have a Discover Card, they're offering 5% Cash Back if you go through the ShopDiscover site to LEGO. Not sure if this will stack on top of their on-going CashBack on-line purchase promotion, but it's worth a shot!
