I'm planning our first WDW vacation in January/February 2018. My 6yo DS LOVES Legos and I was thinking of fitting in LEGOLAND also. We will be traveling for 7-10days. Is this too much? Should we do LEGOLAND at another time? Can it be done well in just one day?
You can definitely do it in one day! It's not a huge park but the rides tend to be slow loading. The ride queues have Lego areas for the kids to play in but aren't as visually interesting as at Disney so the waits feel longer. And it's not open as long as the Disney parks. We were there over the summer during the week and I think the hours were 9am-7pm. Plan to get there right when it opens and then head right to the back of the park. Do the driving, boating and flying schools first. They are the slowest loading and can take forever if there is a line. Then keep doing rides until lunch or whenever it starts to get crowded. In the early afternoon, visit Miniland (so cool!), do the shows and movies, and go to the build areas and playgrounds. Don't even let the kids see Miniland until you've gone on the rides you want to go on! They'll want to stop for sure and you can be there for hours and not even realize it! Ride lines tend to slow at the end of the day too. If you plan on being there for the entire day, you can see everything you want in just one day. Have a great trip!
