Two years ago I interviewed for a job in Anaheim. The interview coincided with spring break at my son's school, so I brought him along for the ride. He was 10 years old then. We stayed in the Fairfield Inn across the street from Disneyland, so we could see into the park, and of course watched the fireworks from our room. We arrived in Anaheim late in the afternoon, so we didn't buy full day tickets for the parks but wandered around DTD. Next day was taken up by the interview, so we again didn't go to the parks. Day after we rented a car and drove to LEGOLAND. Spent that evening at DTD shopping and eating. (I wish they would sell a half-day or evening only discounted park ticket). Flew home the next morning.
I'm feeling like I owe DS a trip to DLR, and I've always wanted to stay at the Grand Californian. My question is, if I do plan this trip, am I doing it for noble or selfish reasons? Do I owe him a trip? Staying so close and not going inside is a special brand of torture.
DW and DD would not be invited.
