Does anyone have new information on the construction of the new resort?

Construction on the other half of Pop Century: The Legendary Years was halted after 9-11 and never resumed. Some argue that there is still some legal conflict between the developer and Disney.. others say simply that until the demand is there for extra space, Disney won't finish this resort.. and may never finish the plans as originally intended.

Rumors abound that it will be restarted in the next 18 to 24 months and that this half of Pop Century will contain family suites, like some of those that opened at All Star Music.

There have been no official announcements made and at last peek - no active construction at Pop Century.

Gotta wonder how the rooms look inside the building and whether Disney has done some upkeep to prevent mold and insect infestation out. Otherwise, it might be best to bulldoze the buildings and start over from scratch.
