Legal to rent points?

Hi- I am planning a fall trip. Years (and years) ago I had rented points from someone at the beach club and boardwalk. Is this still legal? I thought there was a whole disboards section about renting points and I don't see it- so is it now illegal? If still allowed, can someone point me in the right direction?

Yes this is still allowed
There is a whole forum-the rent/trade board
Also there are brokers who arrange rentals as well like David's

however if you are planning a trip for this fall you may be out of luck for renting DVC points-at this point things are pretty booked up since the fall is such a popular time for DVC members to travel. If your resort, travel dates and room size are flexible you might have better luck-ssr 1 bedrooms might have a good shot of being open. If however you are looking for a week in a studio you are probably out of luck this late in the game. Good luck

Personal renting is allowed, commercial renting is not, brokers are not renting, they are brokering.

You need to be signed in to see the rent/trade board here on the DIS.

If you can't see the Rent/Trade board, it's probably because you are not logged into the DIS. You have to be logged in to see it.
