Has anyone used a leg scooter while in WDW? If so how was the experience? Last trip I used a wheelchair (had DH with me) but am trying to think of alternatives for my "mommy & me" trip with DD. My arthritis is only in one ankle/foot at this time and I'm wondering if a leg scooter (where you prop up the bad leg and use the other one) would work. Thanks for any advice:goodvibes

I have seen people using them at the Parks, but have never talked to any user.

Thanks for the link Sue! Do you happen to know if a rental ECV will fit in a standard room at POFQ? I'm thinking an ECV may be th way to go:)

I used a Roll-a-Bout last year. No problems.

Was it tiring? I have a terrible time with crutches (wouldn't even consider those for WDW) but I would like to be a bit more mobile than I was in the wheelchair, also DD wouldn't be able to push me. So I thought a roll-a-bout might be a great solution. Is it comparable to walking assisted? Thanks so much:)

Switch between a walker and the Roll-a-Bout. It's a lot less stressful on your muscles this way. (The First Aid Station will keep the one you're not using at that moment for you.)

The Roll-a-Bout does make it feel as if you're walking. It's better mentally for me.

Thanks for the info:) I was thinking I would prefer the roll-a-bout for my mental health too. I got tired of being invisible in my "princess coach" and my arthritis is much better now so I'd love to walk as much as possible!

I travel all over the country with my ECV and I've never had a problem with it fitting in any room we've had. People told me it wouldn't fit in our cabin on our last cruise but it did! You'll be fine.
