OK, I have to admit first off I am not a fan of Disney food. Neither are my husband and son. With that in mind, how is the steak at LeCellier? Would you say it is as good as a filet at Carraba's? That is the benchmark in our family for beef, if I'm paying this kind of money it has to at least be as good as Carraba's(actually the price doesn't really matter in this case, I can't stand cheap beef, would rather go without). I am thinking of making a ps for LeCellier's for the candle light processional, I've heard about the pretzel bread and cheese soup(I can't have any, just was put on gluten free diet :sad2): , I'm hoping these will impress dh and ds, but if the filet is a bad cut they will be cranky no matter the bread and soup.

I think the filet at Le Cellier is a much better cut than you would find at Carrabas. We usually eat steak at Outback Steakhouse and the filet at Le Cellier is much better! We love Le Cellier and I think the Filet with Mushroom Risotto is the best!! Of course opinions on this will vary, but if you are using Carrabas as a referral point then I think you will enjoy Le Cellier.

caribear, thanks for the info, that's just what I wanted to know. The steaks at our local Outback are really awful, but Carraba's are usually pretty good for a chain resturant, it's funny, they're owned by the same company. :confused3 We've just had such BAD luck with DW resturants though I'm afraid to risk it again. Maybe we're just to picky.

We just dined at Le Cellier the other night and the filet was delicious! I agree with Caribear, the mushroom fliet is so good!I dont think you will be disappointed if you try Le Cellier!

Not sure when you are doing the Candlelight, but someone said they are all booked.
:earsgirl: :earsboy:

We love Le Cellier. We dine there each trip. I totally agree with Caribear that the filet with mushroom risotto is the best. I think that you will enjoy.

How is the filet with maple BBQ sauce? I keep leaning towards it since it comes with the mashed potatoes.

I can't tell you much about the filet with maple bbq sauce because I can't tear myself away from the filet with mushroom risotto!! DH usually gets the surf n' turf. You can substitute anything on the menu though, so you can add the mashed potatoes to any entree in lieu of it's original side dish.

I had the filet with lobster at LC in April. It was good, but other WDW restaurants were better.

(I'm a Ruth Chris' Steak house person).

I am a filet freak. It's my favorite food on the planet. I'd rather eat filet than breathe.

Having said that, I thought the filet at LC was one of the best I'd had ever (the BBQ one with creamed cheese mashed potatoes -- YUM!). I can't get a PS at LC this trip so I might just have to go to YS since they have a really good one. So either way, I think you are ok. :)

In a word - fantastic. We love LeCellier, but we're always disappointed at lunch when we can't get the maple glaze bbq sauce. The filet is soooo much better at dinner with that great glaze.

The cream cheese mashed potatoes are great, too.

Is it wrong that I'm now drooling? 24 days, and I'll be sitting there...
