I had read that LeCellier has surf & turf on the dinner menu. Would we be allowed to order that on the dining plan, as it sounds expensive. And will LeCellier still count as one TS next year? Thanks!

We ate at Le Cellier last week. Although we were not on the dining plan, I overheard the server at the table next to us tell guests that the Surf N Turf was NOT included on the dining plan. I think it was the only exclusion.

Thanks Tina ... That would have been the only reason for me to switch my lunch time ADR to evening. My kids would have wanted to order the surf & turf and I would hate for them to have it denied.

The only other "exclusion" of sorts is the Chef's Dessert Sampler (it includes smaller portions of 3 of their most popular desserts). It can be ordered, but shared by 2 people. So a family of four could order 2 Samplers, but each person couldn't order an individual one.

I didn't think surf and turf is actually on the menu - only a special of the day offered to you by your server. Since it's not on the actual menu, it is not included on the dining plan. Restaurants where surf and turf is on the actual menu do allow you to order that entree on the dining plan.

We ordered the surf and turf at the end of August and they did include it. We booked Le Celliar for Valentines Day hoping it would still be on the menu and included in the dining :guilty:

Kathy - we'll be at disneyworld for valentines day too :) We opted for Shula's for our valentine's dinner but we'll be at Le Cellier the next night.

Answered this in another thread, but I'll make it easy for anyone following this thread.

Surf and Turf is no longer on the menu at Le Cellier. It was during the summer and was included at that time. Now, you can take your included and add a lobster tail for $12.99 which comes on a separate check at the end. And, yes, the dessert trio counts as two desserts.

Enjoy,
Sandra :)

When we ate at LeCellier in October the Turf and Surf was not on the menu at all. I had read here that even during the summer, it was considered a "Daily Special" and as such it was included then.

Stephanie...have a great Valentines! We're returning without the kids this time {we had them along in August!}. We've been to Le Celliar twice before...I was really looking forward to the lobster...since we were on the free dining plan it really tasted good ;) but I'm willing to pay for it this time! Their maple creme brulee is very good too.

In Sept the Surf and Turf was a "daily special" and WAS included in the dining plan. If you add a lobster tail to any of the other entrees it is NOT included in the plan and you have to pay for the tail separately.

Le Cellier was our best value on the dining plan of any of the restaurants (although overall we really saved a LOT of money on the dining plan, so most restaurants we came out ahead.)

Sorry.... I should clarify. Yes, the surf and turf was available through September. It was not on the menu, but was included on the dining plan. Now, it is not on the menu and not available on the dining plan. If you choose to add a lobster tail at $12.99, it is not included on the dining plan and will be added to a separate check at the end.

Sandra :)
