Hi, we've gone in december in the past. But those there now, I see it shows temps in the 70's during the day, but cooler at night. Is it warm enough during the day fro flip flops/sun dresses? Or light pants a better option? Thanks really trying not to over pack as usual!!!

Sorry, not there now but are you planning on changing after dark? I would just go with the light pants.

For me no it would not be warm enough for that. But yesterday I had Canadians swimming and having a good time in the pool. No way would I be in a pool this time of year. I was in jeans and a jean jacket. So it all depends on what you are used to.

I would be too cool (temperature wise, lol) in flip flops and a sun dress.

Yesterday I went with flip flops, jeans and a tee shirt and felt very comfortable.

We were at Epcot yesterday. As soon as the sun went down, it cooled quickly to the very low 60's from what had been a comfortable 70's during the day.

As we walked out to the car at 8:30, Dh's iphone told him it was 59. He was still comfortable in shorts and a tee, but I was wishing I had a light jacket and my twins were telling me they were cold (wearing jeans and tees too)

We noticed quite a few people at Epcot wearing heavy winter coats, and a few were even wearing gloves and stocking caps!! :) That would be overkill for me, but I guess they feel the cold more than I do.

I would go with pants/jeans and a light top, and bring a sweatshirt or light jacket in a backpack with you if you are staying late.

If it's sunny during the day, I think you would be comfortable. But if it's cloudy you will be cold. Plus after dark it gets cold.

I treat the parks more like long hikes in the woods by bring plenty of layers. The weather is fine for shorts in the afternoon, but once the sun sets the temperature contrast feels cooler than it really is. You can get an idea of how cold it gets by looking at today's weather.com, Kissimmee, FL, hourly, for a rough guide. I tend to have a tech fabric base layer, sweaters, windbreakers and wind pants (with a zipper at the knees.) If it looks to be really cold I also carry a neck warmer, hats and gloves.

I'm going that time frame too.

Thursday and Friday it looks like it's going to get up to 79 degrees so I've decided to bring capri's, tshirts, jeans and long sleeve shirts as well as my hoodie, gloves and scarf.

That way I can layer if I get cold. My tricky part is I'm staying offsite and don't want to go back to the room much so I'll just bring a backpack with my change of clothes and put into a locker.

Have fun!

I am arriving Wednesday also. I packed chino slacks and a mix of short sleeve and 3/4 sleeve shirts. I have to be careful of sunburn even with sunscreen so no shorts. I have a Goretex jacket with hood for evenings and early mornings. I am taking gloves for "just in case".

The best thing to do is dress in layers. If the sun is out it feels 10 degrees warmer than if its not. I've lived in FL for 4 years now & its amazing how the weather changes in one day from morning to night sometimes.

Right now, I'd be more comfortable wearing a T-Shirt & jeans during the day w/sneakers or light pants & at night I'd put on a zip down sweatshirt. But those who are from climates warmer than here will be dressed to the nines in their winter gear, lol!

Um.. the weather is in the high 70's - and you are wearing what? :) :)

I guess it all depends on where you live usually - for me I'd be wearing shorts and a Tshirts! The humidity is high and I can't stand being sweaty and covered in clothes...even in the low 60's - I'm thinking shorts and a Tshirt....but I'm in NJ and I'm always warm and I rather be cool.

We went to Busch Gardens two days ago (Black Friday) and it was 59 degrees. My DH and Son both wore jeans, a t-shirt, and a long-sleeve. DH brought a light jacket but DS did not (hard headed).

DD and I wore leggins, jeans, a thermal shirt, a sweatshirt, and brought jackets. I also wore the wool socks I wore to go skiing. DD friend wore leggins, sweatpants, t-shirt, and sweatshirt, and ... flip-flops (her sister took her closed toe shoes). I didn't wear my jacket most of the day but was comfortable with the other layers on.

Today it is 75 degrees and I am in jeans and a t-shirt. I would be okay in shorts too if I was in the sun, but prefer jeans.

I am sure none of this helps you. LoL. But we live in Tampa so when the temp drops I get cold.

The same day we were at Busch Gardens in layers, we saw people in shorts, t-shirts, and flip flops. Also saw families in coats, knit hats, scarves, and gloves standing in line.

Thanks so much everyone!!! I will skips the dresses lol! I was half asleep when I posted this morning. I was more concerned with the footwear . Flip flops or sneaks, now I'm thinking sneaks are best:rotfl2::thumbsup2

I'm here now and have worn pants comfortably everyday, including jeans. There is a chill in the air if you are in the shade. In the sun, its very warm and I could wear my tank top and pants. In the shade, I had my hoodie back on. At night, I definitely wear a hoodie and pants. Sundresses to me would have me freezing. We are from Pittsburgh too, so we are no stranger to cold!

We were there the week before Thanksgiving - some days were cold (50s) but the days that it did get into the low 70s, I wore a t-shirt with either jeans or capris. Even though we're from the north, it was not warm enough for shorts or dresses for me and we tried swimming but were too cold. Also, bring warmer clothes than you think you might need - I only brought two lightweight hoodies for the evenings but one day, we had an unexpected cold snap and the day time high was 50. Had to buy another hoodie.

I went in the first week of January last year, and being from Ohio, (and it currently being in the 20s and 30s there when I flew down), I thought, a light jacket and jeans should be fine, right? Even though 40s and 50s didn't sound too cold to me, I wasn't used to walking around all day in those temps with only a light jacket. I had to buy a hoodie and layer every other long-sleeved item I had.

Hopefully it stays warmish for you!

This year, when I go back in January, I will be prepared :) I'm going to bring some heavier hoodies and some long underwear to wear if needed. No winter jacket -- takes up too much luggage space -- but definitely more layers.

I'm renting a locker too!

I am a local with an AP and I go several times a week. During the daytime you will be comfortable in a sun dress and flip flops providing the wind does not blow. If the wind does blow you will be cold. A sun dress and flip flops won't work after the sun goes down even if the wind is not blowing.

Every park has locker rentals right at the entrance. Bring some layers and put them in a locker. Then if the weather changes it will be easier to update your wardrobe. That would probably be more convenient that carrying backpacks around all day.

Couldn't agree more. We were even cool in the upper 50s/low 60s. And it was windy to boot.

Also keep in mind that our cold is a wet cold because of our humidity so if you are used to a dry cold like they have up in say NH or Mass or Maine you still may want to bring cold weather gear as I've heard from many of my northern friends that even though our temps are higher the cold is worse

We went in Dec 2012 and are leaving in less than two weeks for our upcoming visit...be sure to factor in sitting and waiting for evening parades and fireworks...we got quite cold on our last visit and even bought blankets while waiting for CP because we did'nt layer enough.
