2 months to go!!! ​

Yes, 2 months from this moment I will be obsessing over my suitcase making sure I have everything in it's proper place and getting ready to head to the airport. 2 months from tonight I will have checked into CSR, be dining at Brown Derby and watching Fantasmic. A mere 61 days to go

1 tidbit of news I saw this weekend...Muppets will be under renovation during my trip...THAT'S IT!! My trip it RUINED!! (Just kidding, I get such a kick out of people who say things like that. Did you see the threads when they announced the castle refurb. People seriously were looking at moving their vacations because of it) Yeah, I'm bummed but I'll be in Disney so I'll get over it!

In honor of 2 months to go, I have saved the best for last – My Magic Kingdom wish list!!!!

Must-Do

• All 3 mountains – I missed Space mountain last time but remember it fondly from past trips. I've heard the refurb is great too
• Jungle Cruise – would like to do at night
• Swiss Family Treehouse – I can’t remember ever having done this. Can you do this at night? I think it would be cool to see the rest of the park from there
• Pirates of the Carribean – couldn’t talk the kids into it last time
• Haunted Mansion – another one I missed in 2008 but remember fondly and can't wait for
• Basically all of fantasyland but most especially Mickey’s Philharmagic
• Mickey and Minnies houses – this wouldn’t be on my must do list except it may be my last chance to see them
• Astro Orbiter – want to do this one at night too
• TTA
• Carousel of Progress
• Buzz Lightyear
• Monsters Laugh Floor
• Of course both parades and Wishes too!
• take the time to wander Main Street and appreciate all the Disney touches

Could go either way

• Magic Carpets
• Country Bears
• Tom Sawyer Island

Don’t care much for

• Liberty Belle – unless we just want a break
• Ariel’s Grotto
• The rest of toontown
• Tomorrowland speedway
• Hall of Presidents

Will not do

• Tiki Room
• Stitch’s Great Escape

It is perhaps obvious that I want to do most of what is available at MK. I love all the parks but have a special fondness for MK because of my childhood trips. It to me is "the classic" and I cannot wait to share it with Beth.

I get a kick out of those threads too I was really bummed that Splash was closed while we were there but it didn't ruin our trip...we probably would have froze anyway.

The Space Mountain refurb is awesome. I did Stitch's Great Escape on this trip because my dad and Kailyn wanted me to try it. They told me it was really cute and fun and I would love it. Ummm, no. I did NOT know about, or expect, the restraint at all, and it freaked me out, especially since it was dark. Had I known about the restraint, I would have skipped it. At least I know not to try it again!

Astro Orbiter at night is really cool! Kailyn and I went on it together, and I was a little scared, but it was really really cool to see the castle and everything from so high up!

Yep we get there a bit earlier. Our flight lands at 12:55. By the time you arrive at CSR you should be able to find me sipping a cocktail by the pool!

Glad you liked the Space Mtn refurb. I rode it last when I was a teenager and remember loving it but don't really remember many details. I do remember enough glow from the cars that you could see the track and seeing a curve ahead and thinking "we'll never make it!!!!"

We did Astro Orbiter during the day and I loved the view, can't wait to do it at night.

My brain works in strange ways sometimes...

I have been thinking for a week or so that I really need to stop and get a haircut...just a bang trim actually. If I liked getting my haircut more, I should get a trim every 4 weeks or so but since I don't, I get them cut a little too short and wait until they are a little too long and end up there every 6-7 weeks. So it occurred to me that if I go this week for a trim, I will need another cut (full head that time) about 2 weeks before we leave. That will be the perfect timing for it to look just right on the trip

Depending on where our room is and how much time we have, we may just swing by to check out the pool and say hi. Before we switched to deluxe dining, my plan was to have our first meal/drink at the pool but now we have 5:00 ADR's instead

OK, that is too funny because I was just thinking this morning that I should get a trim this week, that way I'd be ready for a full cut and color right before we left. So, I don't think it's strange - I think it's genious!

I can't believe how many people are arriving on Saturday I will just be checking in (I land at 730) and heading over to DTD....that's my plan anyways!!

My older sister's name is Katie and I am Beth, so when I read your PTR I picture maybe someday taking a trip with just my sis!!

I saw on your shirts from High School that it says Ames. I used to go down to Ames, my brother went to ISU and my DH worked down there during the week for 15 months! It's a great town!! Looking forward to more!!

OK, that is too funny because I was just thinking this morning that I should get a trim this week, that way I'd be ready for a full cut and color right before we left. So, I don't think it's strange - I think it's genious!

As luck would have it, Friday is picture day at school and my boys need haircuts too so we'll stop by after school tomorrow and I'll be on track for the "right" hair I color my own (too cheap to pay someone else) and I'm trying to think of how long ago I did it last. It's been a few weeks so if I wait a few more, I should need another color right before we go which will work too!

WooHoo!!! You're getting so close! I'll have to make sure I get Muppets 3D in within my first 3 days!

I can't believe you wont visit the Tiki Room! I know it's not the same but I do love it! I just like being in there before the show starts...it would have been cool if they had indeed kept it as a restaurant! I just love the vibe!

I'm excited to finally see the Hall of Presidents this year! The last two trips I've been there its been on refurb! I always enjoyed it....maybe because I'm Canadian so I don't see them as much!

Also, I think Swiss Family Treehouse closes at dusk...
