I am bewildered about what my options are here:

I have been having tons of problems with my knee.
I have done everything imaginable to get it ready for this trip.
Going in for my 3rd steroid shot this afternoon.
I got a hinged knee brace but still have quite a bit of walking and standing pain.
I will get a wheelchair if absolutely have to.
Is there a pass or something to bypass standing in line on this leg for long periods?
How do I obtain it?
Do I need a Dr's letter.
Any other info is greatly appreciated.

I'm not trying to cheat- it really is a problem.
Thanks!

I highly recommend that you rent an ECV and not try to walk around -- do not cause yourself more injury and pain on your vacation, that is not what a vacation is about!
Here are companies that rent ECVs that you can use at the resorts and at the parks. This is the way to go, trust us.

Next, click on the link in my signature where it says disABILITIES FAQ and look at the Guest Assistance Card information to see if you will need that. If you are using an ECV and/or have a visible leg brace, you may not need the GAC at all.

Feel free to ask more questions. I hope you have a wonderful, relaxing, healing trip.

Standing and waiting in line will be a short amount of time compared to the amount of walking you are going to be doing at the parks, so I agree with teri about renting an ecv or wheelchair.
You can limit your wait in line by using fastpass. There is also a status board in each park where CMs keep track of the wait time for all the attractions. Those CMs are good information sources about when the best time to experience the different attractions with the shortest wait will be. Often, people are waiting in long lines when an attraction nearby has a very short wait. People tend to get into the first line they see and assume that the waits for all the other attractions are as long.
A GAC would probably not help you that much. It isn't meant to (and often won't) limit your wait in line. Usually, you will be walking close to the same distance from the entrance point to the boarding point whether you have a GAC or not.
