Good Morning All, :sunny:

I am truly excited about our first trip to Vero. I have packed most everything except for last minute items. And groceries that we are taking. Will shop at Publix when we get settled in but, bringing some things.

Should I bring lounge chairs for the beach? Or use the rentals? If they are hourly it probably can get pretty pricey.

Is there a fitness room? Any charge for members?

Wednesday is member day at Vero I think, don't they have specialty drinks 1/2 price or something like that.

Long day at work today (Pharmacy). But I go for a hour massage tonight. I need to relax and get all the tension out of my body before leaving tomorrow.

Any suggestions or things not to miss, nows the time to let me know.:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I'm leaving earlier than first expected, they gave me Wednesday off so I don't have to leave after work. Yipee

Since you're driving (from Lakeland - lucky you!) - I would definitely bring your own chairs! Are you going to drive over and pick up Hwy 60? I-4 is SO bad right now...

There "is" a fitness center, and there is no fee to use it. It's nothing spectacular - but it does the job.

One of our favorite places to eat in Vero is "The Patio Restaurant." They have a great early bird deal! http://www.veropatio.com

Bring something for the noseeums - they can be bad...

Have a WONDERFUL time!

Enjoy::yes::

10% off on wed. for the tide rest. and shutters.

we never did get to eat at shutters , just the tide rest. very good, sat by the windows over looking the tall grass to the ocean, very nice.

then we ate at captain hurmins, this is a very good place for shrimp and fish, yummy, it will be on our dinner list everytime.::yes::

:wave2: tell us all about your trip when you get back !

The Tides? The two restaurants at the resort are Shutters (which it sounds like you did eat at) and Sonya's (the fancier restaurant). I think the Tides was an off-site restaurant you mentioned.

The snack bar by the pool is Bleachers.

July, have a great trip. I'd bring the chair since it says 2 chairs & an umbrella are $21 per day.

I'm up and ready, DH says he needs more sleep :o I guess I should let him sleep since he's driving. I'm just to excited to go back to sleep :hyper:

I will report back and let everyone know how we liked the resort, but I'm sure I will LOVE it.

Beth; I've heard skin so soft by Avon is good for noseeums. I hope so. I'm taking some. If not I will go buy so yucky OFF. The Patio Restaurant you mentioned looks neat we may try it. But I am planning on cooking most of our meals. I love to cook and have so little energy to do it right during the week because I'm so tired from work. Then on weekends I work part time so we again use short cuts. Looking forward to relaxing and having time to cook some healthy meals.

pmcpmc; I just may try that slide, if I see enough Adults using it. It looks like fun. I've heard the massage thearpy at Vero is the best. But I just had one last night. I go 1 or 2 times a month depending how aching I feel. DH may just have a cow if I had another :teeth:

PamOKW; I have had to really talk the talk to convince DH to take chairs. He says I'm on vacation I do not want to lug them things down to the beach everyday. LOL (He's giving in)
Member discounts in the green room $1.00 off specialty drinks, just might be a good place to have an afternoon drink while waiting for the room.

See Ya
July
