Just to confrim the value of Disney training. There is a new Cheesecake Factory that opened this week here at home. DW and I decided to visit on the second night. Of course there was a 2 hour wait. As we first approached the hostess stand there was a tall bald gentleman that was very pleasantly helping take people's names.

DW struck up a conversation with him and learned that he had at one time been a VP of Theme parks for Disney. He told me that he at one time had responsibilities for Disneyland and Tokyo Disney. We were somewhat amazed that here was a guy that now was taking names at a restaurant.

When we were seated, he even came by the table to make sure we were having a good time. I swear several times when he was directing people to their tables etc., I saw the Disney Point.!!!!!!

He told us how all the restaurants were his babies and how they were different.

We later were told that his primary role was at President and COO. His name is Micharl Berry! Neat man.

Attention all parental units! It is about a week before some of us plan to swoop down upon the lives of our children and remind them who is boss!!!

Even those parents of young who have graduated to the real world are welcome. Please stand up and be counted so we can plan an attack! It we do not congregate, we may never be able to overcome, whatever we will need to overcome!

I recommend a meeting of the executive committee of the parents who want to be CPer's sometime over the weekend. Any suggestions. Of course for those that cannot attend, your proxy is in the mail!!! I think it is in the same envelope with the AP cardholders fall hotel discounts!!! Oops wrong post!

my suggestion as to where to meet is DTD either Sat or Sun evening. We usually end up there anyway. Someone I live with seems to migrate to pin traders and of course we have to personally inspect the ice cream at Ghiradelli's each trip. You know you can never be too careful about ice cream. Frequent inspections are a must!!

These are only suggestions. Prince has not told us yet his work schedule and his time off may dictacte when we can be available!

My suggestion is around 8:00 pm. Everyone can wear their official shirt with decorative name tag as identification. Oh yeah, we don't have those yet!!!! Nevermind.

Let's hear some other suggestion! I was thinking we could all show up at Marla's DD's apt but don't want to have to wrestle security!

I just made reservations to stay at Port Orleans...... anyone know anything about it? Usually I am at All Star, but they were booked. Anyway, of course we will meet. Evening sounds great.... let's meet at PC so we can all be kicked out.... Just kidding. Let's think about what would work out best. We will pick a time and a place. Maybe wear sunglasses.... definitely in the dark it would look weird. HA I've got to tell DD about this. Maybe we should meet the kids, also. Marla Oh yeah, I am coming Nov. 7-10 for the Soap Weekend! Don't bother us then!

Marla, we stayed at Port Orleans in July. What might you like to know? Resort is big. If you have transportation, not a concern, if not, ask to stay close to food court and main bus stop. Food Court is pretty good. There are 2 parts to Port Orleans, the Mansions and Alligator Bayou. I prefer Alligator Bayou with its beds that look like they are made of tree branches. Shower Curtain has Brer Rabbit and friends. The mansions buildings are a little more "formal". Our room in July was a king handicapped. We liked it a lot as the shower was huge, but no tub. Only other difference was the vanity was slanted on the bottom side to accommodate someone in a wheelchair. Our building was in the very back of the resort, and it was nice and quiet, but we did have our own car.

I think you will really enjoy the change from the AllStars. I have stayed at AllStars so many times, I am really sick of it.

I have stayed at POR several times. We always get Alligator Bayou #14. It is a great resort. Have a great trip.

Daughter has her interview tomorrow to be the campus rep. Keep your fingers crossed that she gets it!!!

In trying to coordinate the executive committee meeting for the coming weekend, when does everyone reach the Land of the Mouse. We should get to WDW around 4:30 to 5:00. Just wondering out loud would Friday evening be an option at DTD? DS working a double shift on Friday. Just an idea!

Gee, I wonder if I can get away with using my All Star Mug! We will be arriving in the morning on Friday. DD is working, always evenings, and so that time would be okay with me. Marla

I will be arriving late Friday night at WDW as my plane does not leave til around 8:30pm. So I would not be able to make DTD on Friday night.
