Leaving first week of June ME thread

Still no tags here and we are leaving June 5.

Leaving June 12 and recieved them today!!! Right after we found out no United strike!!! Yah no the hope for minimal rain.

Leaving June 5 and no tags yet. Don't expect to get them. Called DME and the CM was very nice, but gave me such a load of bull. She did say there was no way to know if they had been shipped or not. And then she told us what to do when we got to MCO. She very confidently stated that we would be on a motorcoach within 15 min of checking in, that there would be no more than 4 stops on our route(WL) and that we would definately arrive at the WL by 12:30pm. This is exactly 1 hour after we land. And then said that our luggage would be in our room within 3 hours - even without the tags.

I had to chuckle. I told her that I appreciated that information but that we had also been told 2 weeks ago that 'we would DEFINATELY be reciving our tags, and not to worry, everything was ok now.' I again thanked her and told her I hoped she was right.

I have been patient and hopeful these last few weeks concerning DME. What is starting to bother me is the misinformation or complete lack of information being communicated by Disney. Don't lie to me. Give it to me straight. If things are screwed up say so. Don't have me show up expecting to be in the lobby of my hotel 1 hour after landing if that isn't a guarantee.

We will go withthe flow and if things go well I will report that here with vigor. If they do not go well we will roll with it and not let it ruin our trip.

We are leaving June 10 and no tags yet. But my mom called today and they said if we don't recieve them just find a disney rep at the airport and they will handle it.

We are leaving June 7 and still no tags. I called DVC MS today and they said just go to the Disney rep if we don't get our tags and they will handle everything. There is another thread polling people who have used ME and most rate ME 8 w/ 10 being the best. And many of them had not received their tags. I think it should be ok.

I am betting that it will be ok too. I feel that they had some bumps early on and now that we all know the "rules":

a. take a 24 hour "just in case" carry on bag
b. Label your suitcases with hotel, last name and DME
c. take photos of them and have them on hand
d. Tie a yellow ribbon on your handles
e. DONT PUT YOUR MYW TICKETS IN YOUR LUGGAGE! (Wouldn't that suck!)

I think it will be ok. My kids will love the busses - they are so easy to please - and my dh won't really care when our bags arrive as long as they do eventually arrive. We are on a nonstop flight, so I am pretty sure they won't lose them.

I have even stopped caring if I get my tags. I have 5 days and figure that I won't get them.

We received another set of ME tags the other day by FED EX. We have 2 reservations since they couldn't put 13 nights for one reservation for the same resort (POP) at AP rates. So apparently we have two check in dates, so 2 sets of ME tags. Our second reservation date is June 12 and our first one is June 4 and we have plenty of tags, but we'll just use the June 4 set.

I'm leaving June 11 and got my tags yesterday and everything was correct. Anybody know what happens when you are doing a split stay? I am going to POP for one night and over to BCV for the rest of the stay. I made return ME arrangements through DVC Member Services but will I get vouchers for the return trip?

It sounds like it's just luck if you get them... which really makes me surprised that we got ours since we normally have bad luck. LOL
I sure hope everyone else gets theirs or doesn't have "issues" there because they don't have them!

AGGGRRR!
When I got my reservation LAST WEEK (I changed to a package to get MYW Dining), I noticed that they had me staying at POR from 6/9 to 6/13 (Correct) but DME from 6/26 to 6/30!!!

SO I called to change it.... spend about a half hour on the phone... OK, things are fine.
Called today... just to CONFIRM... BUT NO!! They STILL had the wrong days! What is wrong! ???
There is no way that I will get my tags now. I am leaving a week from tomorrow... but going to still do DME..... If I don't get my tags, I will drag my luggage to the bus myself!

Still no tags here. I'm leaving this sunday June 5 and nothing. I'm just praying that they will arrive today. I would feel much better about this if I had my tags.

I called the ME people and they have us in the system. I would just feel better if I had our tags for the luggage before we leave.

Oh well, maybe they'll come today.

i'm leaving june 4th, and no tags either. my travel agent said they totally skipped this week for some reason, i really hope everything works out.

Just spoke to my TA (who just spoke with folks at DME). Disney said that it would be unlikely that I would get my tags before I leave. But she explained that I would give my luggage claim tickets to a CM and they would still get my luggage to my room.

I guess I am okay with this. When it comes down to it, I only wanted to make sure I did not have to have deal with my luggage.

Still nothing here for June 7th. Im thinking about just doing carry ons and forgetting about having to deal with the checked bags.
