Leaving first week of June ME thread

I talked to DME today because we have not received ours either and they told me that theywould generate another set and send them out because ours were kicked out of the system because of our PO Box number.

She also said that they would take our baggage claim number as well as a physical description of our luggage (we will have photos) and claim them from the baggage claim area.

At this point I don't have a choice. I'm broke. So I am doing ME because if I do a rental car them I can't eat, LOL!

They were open today? Shoot - I should have called. I wonder if they will be open tomorrow. We leave June 3rd on Friday!! I don't like the whole... don't worry, you don't *need* the tags to use DME. I just prefer to have the tags to help things go smoother.

I leave on June 6th and still no tags yet. I'm starting to get pretty antsy about it. When I called DME last week the lady I talked to said to remember: "if you don't get it, don't sweat it," because everything will work out fine whether or not we have the tags. But still, I'm worried.

About how far in advance is everyone getting their tags? It sounds like they're starting to arrive now. Should I be waiting at my door for the Fed Ex man?

I leave this week and got my tags by Fed X last week. Maybe tuesday you will get them. Because of the holiday. Good luck!!!!

We leave Wed. and still no ME tags. I called them today and they said there was no way to track them to see if they were even sent. So unless they show up Tues., I guess we're going without them. She said just find a ME person and give them the information about our bags and they will take care of them. But make sure we pack extra clothes on our carryon. Has anyone else went without their ME tags? Like someone said before, It won't be the first time I pulled my own bags.

Hi. We are going down on June 1 through 6 we recieved our ME tixs by Fed Ex about a week ago. I have read some reports about luggage being held up for hours so we might get our own bags before getting on the shuttle.

For those of you that called DME in advance to see if they 'had you' in their system...how far in advance did you call? We aren't going for another 19 days and I don't want to be premature, but do want to know if we are 'in the system'. We did book through MS for DVC...wonder if that makes a difference.

We are leaving June 4th. Please post if you are leaving that week when/if you receive your ME tags so we can keep tabs on the situation.

Party of 5 arriving 2PM 05-JUN. No tags received as of the morning of 31-MAY.

If we do not receive our DME tags prior to departure, we'll pack everything into our carry-ons that we'll need for our 1st evening at Epcot.

Then we'll hand over or baggage claim tags and small inkjet photos of our luggage at the DME check-in counter at MCO, board the Mears bus, and have a great vacation!

We still don't have our tags. I wonder how long it will take to get to OKW arriving on a Sunday at 5:15 pm? I'm tempted just to cancel DME and go with a towncar. It's our anniversary trip and we have dinner reservations at 7:30pm. Any advice?

I called at 21 days, and we were not in the system. CRO had all of our information (I had called CRO to confirm my ressies, medical refrigerator, etc) and asked about DME.

I called DME and they only had our family of 4 (with names and resort) - no dates, arrival/departure times, flight info.

We leave Friday and still haven't received anything.

If you arrive at MCO at 5:15, then I would certainly get a towncar to get you to OKW. It could very conceivably take well over an hour to get to OKW. Even when we had a towncar service and only carry-on luggage, it still took us an hour to get to our resort. I guess it might be different depending on where you have dinner reservations at though. But if it's not at OKW, I might rethink my transportation options.

Well, I tried calling MS today but they couldn't help me since the DME computers were down. He told me that they are basically the same system. But he did tell me not to panic about not getting our tags...that they should be here in plenty of time before we leave in 18 days. I'll try calling again, just to make sure our convoluted info is in their system though.

Just got my tags today also.. we leave June 13th (I booked thru Disney, not a travel agent. I'm wondering if that makes a difference?)

BBB - we booked directly through Disney CRO, so I don't think it makes a difference. I think the beginning was just hit and miss and they are working out the kinks now.

Tomorrow is the last day I am going to look for our tags to arrive, then I am giving up. I need to know if I need to order water/food for delivery or will pick it up ourselves - that's why I am giving myself the cutoff.

I hope the rest of the June tags keep arriving!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are leaving June 10 and no tags yet. But my mom called today and they said if we don't recieve them just find a disney rep at the airport and they will handle it.

Hi we are leaving on June 5. Still no tags. I called today and we are in the system and they have no idea why the tags haven't arrived. I hope it's not going to be too stressful. I'm already going to be stressed out enough with two babies and a husband who hates airports.
