Leaving a gift for a friend at the front desk? Is it possible?

We have friends making their 1st disney trip this year and I could not be more excited for them. They arrive a day after we leave.

My question is, could I leave a gift at the front desk for them to be given at check-in? I know they won't deliever it to their room but wondered if the resort would hold it for them and give it to them at check-in.

I looked at the disney florist but didn't really see what I had in mind. Maybe if I left it in a box like people do for the fridge swaps?

Is this possible? Any ideas?

I don't see why not, I've had boxes shipped to hotels for me with no problems at all. Ask when you check in, see what they say. :)

I would be uncomfortable leaving a package for someone.

The front desk might take it, but I'm sure won't 100% guarantee that it will make it to your friends.

* You referred to the fridge swaps...but the front desk has nothing to do with those.

YES, you can. I did it last year. My brothers family stayed at the contemporary, arriving midway through our trip. On our off day (day before their check in) we went over and left a gift for them at the front desk. They held it in the back and brought it up to them after they checked in.

Thanks for the replies. I am still not 100% certain if I am going to do it or not. I am worried that it won't actually get to them.

For those who did leave something in the past, did you leave it in a box with a special label? (wondering if I should pack a box with me) Did the people behind the desk act as if it was a typical request?

My friends went to WDW to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary last year. They arrived at the Beach Club the same day we left. I also looked at the Disney florist/gift packages online and didn't like any of them so I created my own gift. I went to the Disney store and bought a 100% reusable bag and filled it with Disney goodies like: caramel popcorn, rice krispies, cookies, candy, fun little toys for the kids. I included a card inside the bag addressed to my friends. I tied the opening of the bag with a rubberband and then placed the entire bag in a Disney store plastic bag. I instructed the front desk who the gift was for. They held it and gave it to my friends when they checked in. I admit I was a little nervous too...wondering if my gift would get to them or mysteriously disappear. But thankfully it did and my friends enjoyed the surprise!
