Leave a Legacy- What does it look like?

You can either do the picture thing or the engraving, not both. The tile is only one inch square so there is not enough room for both. You could opt to get two tiles as the 2nd one is avail for about $10.00 more (or that's what it was a year ago) and I'm pretty sure they will install them side by side. You're right, I can see me with grandchildren someday seeing their parents and grandparents names together on "the rock".

We bought a brick in 1997 and felt is was definately worth the money. However, we were very disappointed in the quality of the tiles in Epcot and decided to pass. ::MickeyMo

I bought mine in 2000. The pic is terrible. I was pregnant & my face was puffy looking. I don't regret buying it though, it makes me feel like a part of me is at Disney, even when I'm not actually there. I have to admit, it does look a bit like a graveyard. :)

Wow, I've never heard such negativity about the Leave a Legacy tiles! LOL! Anyway, we like them! We plan to get another tile done on our next trip if there's still room. So all you who don't like them, GREAT, leaves more room for those of us who do. :p :wave2:

How much is it to purchase them? Maybe we will just buy one instead of using our option. Trying to figure out which UPH option is the best value :)

I did not mean to sound like these were crap, but I just don't think it's worth the money for the photo. I could be possibly see the writings but... I am a Disney purist, what can I say? Also, I go very frequently so i am pretty sure i'll be back to make more memories. But if you were going as a one time thing, i suppose i could see otherwise. If you've been once, you've been twenty times (just got to that milestone in July). Have a nice night!

P.S. The painting of the castle to Pepto-Bismal pink was a mistake in my book. For awhile I was worried they weren't going to paint it back. Wise choice CM's!

When we had ours done in Feb. of 2003 the regular price was $25. However, we used our UPH option and got ours for free.

I don't know if that price is still accurate but I hope it can give you some idea!

The poor quality of the pictures is why I did the engravings instead. The majority of the tiles are, for some reason, pictures. To me it would be more like the "Walk around the World" if they would only allow names and dates and such. But, whatever suits everyones fancy. I love the bricks. That's what I wanted originally but when I called they had already discontinued them. There's plenty of room left so I'm hoping they will reinstate it at some point. The tiles in '03 were $25.00 and you could get 2 for $35.00.

Anyone know how long it takes from the time you take your picture to the time it is placed on the wall??

Just wondering if we got one this trip, if we would be able to see it, or have to wait until next time....

(Correction from my previous posts. The cost in '03 was $25.00 and $20.00 for each additional tile. You can get up to 6 lines of type at 8 characters per line). This may be why most opt for the pictures becase lots of names are more than 8 letters. Ours worked out just right. It takes about 12 weeks for the tiles to be etched and mounted. Pictures must be taken at EPCOT so you would not be able to see it until your next trip. Engravings can be ordered by phone, mail or e-mail. I ordered ours in time to see it the next time we went down which was exciting 'cause our kids didn't know about it. They also offer tile gift certificates. You can also order clip art tiles with 2 lines of type (one above, one below) at 14 spaces per line. For more information you can e-mail them at WDW.EC.Legacy@Disney.com. Hope this helps. pirate:
