Leave A Legacy Letdown?

Greetings everyone. This is my first post on this great board. Hope I'm posting in the right area for my question.

My wife and I recently added our photo to the Leave a Legacy attraction at the entrance to Epcot. We were informed that a copy of the picture and a "locater address" would be mailed to us within a few weeks. When we received our locater address for the picture, we were disappointed that a map wasn't provided to show us where the picture is.

I called a Disney representative at the Legacy area. She was very nice but told me that maps aren't provided anymore when notifying guests by mail. Emphasize "anymore." I asked if I could perhaps access a map online and was told that wasn't available either. The only way, I am told, to see where the picture is, is to actually go back to Epcot. Of course, we had always planned on returning to Disney World. But one month after already visiting is out of the question, unfortunately.

Are we out of luck until our eventual return? Or do we just have something to look forward to?

You know what......I agree with you, but, if you like, you can post on here your exact location and some on here may be kind enough to take some pictures for you of the actual listing and the area around it, to show where it is.

If nobody offers, I am going back the first week of December and would be MORE than happy to do this for you.

I have to say that the Leave A Legacy area is not really that large and if you have an address for you picture, it won't be a problem finding it. The hardest part is usually counting the pictures in the row to get to the right one.

Just an FYI to everyone. I went over today to find the photos for Disneyfide and couldn't find them. After I looked and looked I went back over and asked.

It takes 4 months for your photo to appear on the walls. So it was a little soon to find them.

Disneyfide I did get a map from them so you can locate them when you go. I will keep looking and when they put that plaque up I will snap some photos. I will scan the map to you.

Just an FYI, but we got our tile done on our first trip back in 2001 and we didn't get a map then, just a copy of the tile and the locater address. I don't think they have given out maps in a long time.
