LEAST wet ride

In Maelstrom you're in a big boat and you just kind of float along through different Norway scenes. There may be one very short drop, but it's not like a roller-coaster at all and doesn't even compare to Splash Mountain.

Maelstrom is similar to POTC in terms of the drop. Or think Small World with a slight drop. Mild. Not a thrill ride at all.

although it is true that you don't get too wet on Splash Mt, I would like to make this suggestion.



Also, when were at MK last year the weather was hot. We noticed that every third log down the drop spouted a HUGE spray of water, most of which landed on the bridge(and in the log I would assume) ......this year, same time of year but not as warm there were no big sprays when the ride went down the drop. Do they plan big splashes for WARMER days by chance ?

Nope - we were on Splash Mountain first week of Feb and everybody, including ourselves, came out completely soaked - not quite as bad as Kali but pretty bad.

Don't assume you won't get soaked on SM. They fixed the water cannons and if you happen to be in the wrong place when a log goes down the hill you WILL get soaked. The cannons were firing last week even when it was kind of chilly.

This was my experience, too!! Even in cool weather, those splashes can happen, and people can get absolutely soaked! Beware! I learned that lesson the hard way!
