Learning the ropes

Using the resort availability tool I see random nights available that I can book. Do you have to book each individual night if they are split? (Ie 27 and 30) Also can I just add it in my name to save time and add my other guests if it comes through? Trying to learn the short cuts.

Individual nights are individual reservations.
