Leapster Explorer?

I just saw the new Explorer today and it looks really neat. Probably going to get one for my daughter whos 5. Has anybody heard much about them yet?

I just saw this too. DD got a leapster2 for her bday on Sat - I went to buy an extra rechargable battery pack for it and see the Explorer!?!?! I was just on the Leapfrog website last week and this thing wasn't on there. Now I want to return the leapster2 and get this instead.
The one thing I wonder is will our existing leapster games work on this? Leapfrog website doesn't say one way or another but a MomBlog says NO.

And I keep seeing all these links for $20 off the preorder then none of them work. But I am getting SUMMER15 to give me 15% off.

I think I also read they don't have backwards capabilities. I'm just really hoping it's not a complete flop full of bugs like the Didj was. I think I'll probably be waiting until Christmas to get one. I want to see what people say about them first to see if they're really worth the upgrade.
