I can't find the post now but i just read it about LC only being able to be booked by calling NOT on line. I just bcalled Disney Dining and they said that is NOT true. They said it still can be booked online. Then i asked when LC new menu is coming on and she said there is not going to be a new menu. I would love that to be true. Should I believe Disney Dining? Thanks

If you think there is reason not to believe them, call again and see if you get the same answer. Whatever the menu, I think Le Cellier would be a good ADR to have!

We were at Le Cellier the end of Dec and asked the waiter about this. The waiter confirmed there will be some menu changes

You can book LeCellier online......I just checked 2 dates for May and both came up with availability :).

I just called disney dining back and spoke to a different CM who said the same thing the first CM said. NO menue change, just going to 2 credits for dinner. That would mean that the fillet is staying on the lunch menu!!!! I hope this info is correct.

This whole Le Cellier thing is confusing me. How are you going to charge someone 2 TS credits for almost the same menu that is offered at lunch as it is for dinner. I was under the impression that they were going to make a huge menu change at night for the 2 TS credits (new dishes, better quality, more food, etc). The only problem they are going to have is that they will be swamped at lunch now instead of dinner.

Well I know you can't believe everything you read or hear, the following is what is posted on the Dining page for Le Cellier when making dining reservations.

"This intimate restaurant replicates a wine cellar and features prime rib, filet mignon and pan-seared seafood. Effective March 1, 2011, dinner at Le Cellier Steakhouse will be elevated to a Signature dining experience, offering an exciting new menu that will change seasonally and an expanded wine list."

So based on that, I'm expecting a new menu to be announced soon. That's the only thing that makes sense with the change to 2 credits. That said, I hope the lunch menu stays the same because I want the Mushroom Filet for lunch in September!

I could not find anything available for Le Cellier when I tried to book online a couple weeks ago. But I called and was able to get an ADR. I suggest that if you can't find an ADR online, call. The worst is that they say it isn't available.

Remember that dining CMs don't always know any more (and often know less) than DISboard regulars. For example, every fall for the last several years there have been scores of threads started by people who were told by a dining line CM that Teppan Edo or San Angel or <insert non-Disney owned restaurant here> would definitely NOT be accepting the dining plan for the following year. And yet, the list of participating restaurants hasn't changed....

The Le Cellier restaurant page on the Disney site is very clear that there will be a new menu to go along with the new signature status at dinner. I'd tend to believe that over a random CM on the dining line.

I just posted this on another thread, but I'll share it here as well.

When I called to make my Le Cellier ADR, I asked the CM when we might see the new signature menu. She excitedly said she already HAD the new signature menu, and proceeded to read to me the menu items from the current lunch menu. :rolleyes1 She was so happy to give me that info, I couldn't bring myself to cut her off. Well, at least she tried!

Soooo...definitely check, double check, triple check anything a phone CM tells you. They mean well usually, but...oooof.

Though I suppose WDW wouldn't be lying if by their "new menu" they just made the lunch menu the dinner menu. ;)

LoL I was on the same other thread as you, and what you said on the other thread about them releasing a menu of some sort now that they are 2 weeks away would make sense.

We were at Le Cellier 3 weeks ago and were told the menu is changing. They plan to keep the filet mignon and cheese soup, but mgmt feels the rest will change.

The new menu better be worth it or no one is going to book dinner reservations. We are trying to decide between lunch and dinner.
