My DW and I are going in March with DS-2 & DD-3.
Which would be better for our dinner @ EPCOT, LeCellier or Coral Reef?

There are fervant fans of both restaurants, but as you can well-imagine, the fans of Coral Reef are concentrated among folks who like seafood, while the fans of Le Cellier love steak. Both restaurants are good, but not great, IMHO.

Coral Reef used to be much better, among the best at WDW, but that was about 15 years ago. Since then, some incredible seafood restaurants have opened, including Flying Fish (which I do NOT recommend with small children -- it's always been a specific problem I've noted there). By the same token, Coral Reef is still a wonderful dining experience, with great food, fantastical desserts, and a great view of the huge Living Seas aquarium, from every seat in the restaurant, sure to be a wonder to the little ones. It is pricey, but then what isn't at WDW?

Le Cellier is extremely popular, since the cuisine is much more generally appreciated, being, basically steaks! There are better steaks on-property, but Le Cellier's more costly steaks are consistently excellent. Sometimes the less costly steaks available at Le Cellier I wouldn't serve to my cat. Beyond the stakes, most of the food is especially yummy, especially the cheddar cheese soup, and the stacked tomato appetizer. It's family friendly, as well.

Le Cellier would get my vote. :Pinkbounc

Le Cellier, definitely.

Read my reviews in the link in my sig. I reviewed both.

Coral Reef definitely...but then again, I've got my first reservations for LeCellier for our May 2006 trip....The aquarium does happen to be quite the distraction for kids of all ages....overactive 7 year old, sat and ate very quietly watching the fish.

We had people in our party who ate at both in Dec 2005 and they liked Le Cellier better.

Unless looking at the fish in the aquarium is the main reason for wanting to go to Coral Reef, I'd do Le Cellier anytime and everytime over Coral Reef. Of course, this is just one humble opinion and YMMV.

I've been to both and my vote is for Le Cellier. Great atmosphere, great (really great) food, and the cheese soup with those breadsticks! Coral Reef had a nice environment and the food was good but Le Cellier wins hands down. :dog2:

I was wondering if the photos you have listed are before and after photos of you as a couple?

Yes. Details of our weight-loss can be found at my personal homepage. Just click on my user name and select "Visit bicker's homepage" and then click on Health Management.

You are actually deciding between a seafood restaurant and a steakhouse. I would choose the dining experience, with regards to menu, that best suits your tastes. With two small children, you may also enjoy the character dinner at the Garden Grill. :)

No question here, definitely Le Cellier. We just went to Coral Reef this month and it was absolutely the worst total dining experience we've had at Disney. Food, service, atmosphere, were all the pits.

We were speaking to one of the cooks at Jiko at the Cooking Place, and he said he just moved over from Coral Reef, paused, "and that's all I have to say about that." We told him we understood, that we just went, and he said he was very sorry.

Peg & I just ate at Le Cellier for the first time in November, mainly because of all the wonderful things said about it on this board and by our friends. It was WONDERFUL!!!! I would rank it in the top two EPCOT dining sites and in the top five for the whole resort. The cheese soup alone was worth the trip. It is hard to get into though, so reserve early.

If it's seafood your after, I would recommend Todd English's Blue Zoo in the Swan and Dolphin complex. (I can't ever remember which is which)
