Le Cellier new menu? OFFICIAL New Menu Discussion

They just posted the new dinner menu on the Disney Dining webpage but they still haven't changed the others.

I spoke with someone on the phone today from Epcot special requests dining or something like that. She confirmed with Lecellier that the fillet is defintely staying on the lunch menu:banana::banana: BUT sadly the cream cheese mashed potatoes are NOT:confused3 I don't know why they would do that since they were sooo popular. Maybe the new poatoe side dish will be just as good.

We leave tomorrow, thanks for confirming this!

Hoping that someone remembers us OOP patrons with a prix fixe menu...perhaps it will resurface by our trip in August (after Disney sees fewer dinner ressies being made).

We just ate here Wednesday night, the second day of the menu. We had the salmon and the venison and both were delicious. My grandmother has eaten King Salmon (?) fresh caught that day and she said this dish at Le Cellier was just as good. My venison was very good as well, excellent flavor.

Overall, I was impressed with the food and the service was AMAZING. I tipped 25% he was so good. I would go back in a heart beat.

How was the salt? I've tried eating there twice and it was so salty it was inedible.. I'm hoping perhaps the new chef is not as heavy on the salt.

We've eaten at LC every trip since 2002 and can say that I have never had a overly salty meal given to me.

I'll let you know more when we go in May.

Still hoping that someone will post a new kids dinner menu when they find one! :flower3: Google has NOT been my friend with this search! :lmao:

According to this link I guess the price is justified in going up. I have to assume "Canadian" raised beef is far superior to "U.S." raised beef. Personally I raise the bull flag and say that Le'Cellier and WDW are using smoke and mirrors on this one to fool a whole lot of people into thinking they are getting something much better than before. JMHO..

I dunno. I imagine the imported beef will likely be of a significantly higher quality than the typical "Disney commissary" grade beef typically served in restaurants down there. (The beef I get at my local grocery store in Maryland is superior to what they serve down there.)

Seems to me the biggest difference in the lunch and dinner menus may be the quality of the ingredients, not portion sizes, for the common dishes.

So the meat quality is different between lunch and dinner? This is what has me worried about doing lunch as opposed to dinner :/

:lmao:

It remains to be seen if "Canadian" meat is of better quality than what they had been serving which some say was "Australian". I liked it before when I had no clue where my "meat" came from, I guess I'll have to eat there again to see if the increase in price is justified due to the increased quality or if it's just a lot of bull (Canadian, American or Australian) to just raise the price! I guess we wait and see, but I can at least be secure that my soup is made with Canadian cheddar, or was that American or Australian cheddar? :confused3

I just have to wonder LOL.

I think we are just going to keep our Dinner ressie. At least that way I can come back here and let ya'll know how it was for us right? ;) I'll for sure be posting a Dining Review when we go down in 3 weeks too!

I can't imagine why they would get rid of the cream cheese mashed potatoes!
I agree, the Au Gratin Potatoes that have been served w/ the NY Strip I just never liked and always substituted them w/ the mashed! Maybe they've come up with something tastier, let's hope!

The complete menus are on the www.disney.go.com site under the reservations/restaurants category.

Looks like they kept some favorites and added some very interesting new dishes!

Enjoy. :goodvibes

I'm not sure if the " no cream cheese mashed potatoes" talk is just referring to dinner only, but I had lunch there today and had them with my filet. Sooooo good!!!!!

Does someone who's been there for the new menu know if we really can't get the mushroom risotto on the side anymore?
I am so bummed to not see them on the list :(

Question: have they made changes to the inside of the restaurant? Are the tables still as close as they were before?

I would pay the higher prices if they would just take away some of the tables. Otherwise it will be the most un-intimate signature restaurant...nothing less romantic than practically sitting on top the table next to you.
