Hello to all!

This is my first time hosting a challenge, I hope y'all like what I have picked out! :) First things first, I have chosen a page map as the design. Here it is:

Follow it, but do not be a slave to it. Make sure you add your own creative touches. These do not have to be Disney layouts.

Now for the biggie...you have to include song lyrics somewhere in the LO.

DS will draw a winner on Sunday 4/26 in the evening. I will post the winner ASAP. (I am very excited about this challenge! I set this up with some pictures in mind and I am very excited to get them on paper. :goodvibes)

Happy Scrapping...here is some pixie dust to get you started! pixiedust:

DS just picked his winner and he drew boBQuincy! (It is sort of ironic because he loves trains and Johnny Cash.) Anyway, thanks for being great scrappers and stepping up to my challenge. I look forward to seeing what the next challenge will be....boBQuincy give us your best shot!

See you all soon! :hippie:

This is quite a challenge but a very interesting one! I'm thinking on it.

I hope I did not make the challenge too hard! I just went to Archivers with my free paper coupon in hand to get working on this challenge. :yay:

Oh, that is a good challenge. I'm not big on quotes or lyrics. This will take me out of whatever comfort zone I have. :rotfl2:

I will give it a try.

I'll try to give this one a go... I have an idea..and I have last weeks challenge about complete...

I'm in..definitely out of my comfort zone too, but I like it. S/O is trying to help me out with the song lyric part! So thanks for helping me get him into scrapbooking! :thumbsup2

Hmmmm! I will have to think hard about this one. I'll see what pictures I have and if any songs come to mind.

I wish someone would post - I seem to be failing on this challenge (and no, it's not too hard, it's me). I've tried different layouts and haven't liked anything yet, and I'm not doing well with the song :)

Hopefully, I'll get something done and posted before Friday as I'll be out of town over the weekend.

Mine will be coming soon, I just picked up the pictures from printing. Hopefully I can crank it out pretty quickly.

I am glad everyone is attempting! :thumbsup2

It doesn't feel quite done yet so maybe I will tweak it a bit (if the rules allow) but it's a start! :)

And yes, some of the elements are recycled from the weekly challenge. ;)

Very nice! Love the train!!! :) The lyrics were the first thing that popped into my head when I saw the train!!!

Great LO! I love the train tracks at the top. We are huge Johnny Cash fans, so the lyrics are perfect. :goodvibes

Great layout! That helps, a bit! It's the lyrics that are throwing me. I guess I need to think outside of the box on this one and I have never used song lyrics before.

Have my lyrics...and my idea.. it may end up 2 pages and will have some holes for them to be filled in later... :) I hope it works like I see it in my head... off to get my lyrics now.. I want the full lyrics on this one..... :)

Here is my LO for the challenge. This is actually the second go around. I had it about 3/4th of the way done and decided I did not like it. So I ripped everything off the paper :scared1: and started over. :lmao:

Kilt.jpg

This is DS (and me) on St. Patrick's Day (I paused my work on our Disney album for this one). He loves to wear his kilt and the attention that he gets for it. The title and subtitle are my lyrics. They are from a song called: Real Men Wear Kilts. The plaid on the LO is the same tartan that DS's kilt is made out of. I used google to find a picture of it, then tiled the image over and over in publisher. I then printed enough of it to cut with the cricut. I cannot believe it worked! :rotfl:

I am having so much fun with these challenges! :hippie:
