someone always has to take the fall for decisions being made. That's just how it works. With PI closing, it was Kevin Lansberry. With the resort decisions, it's Meg Crofton. The reality is Disney has been pushing "guest hostile" policies for the last couple years.
stroller price increases, premiums during busy times for dining(and now those are on the dining plan too!) increase the tickets, increase the parking, decrease fantasmic showings, the list goes on and on and on. I don't wanna hear excuses about how they are expanding the parks because they just dropped 4 billion dollars on marvel. Disney has very deep pocket books. Unfortunately all they do is raise prices and cut budgets. If you want a perfect example, wait until SM opens and see just how little was actually done to the ride. DL gets a huge makeover and we get crap.
Pete's rants are right on. They don't know what guests want, but that's largely because they simply don't care. As President of this resort, yes, it IS her fault and she should be held accountable. They only think about how to raise the next quarter's earnings, but they are hurting the long term profits and view of the company.
