There it is boiled down. If the price was too high you wouldn't do it, and if the prices were too high for the parks nobody would be there. Based on how well Disney is doing in comparison to other places around it I would say Meg is doing a good job and shouldn't be called the "cleeeeaaaning lady". Even if WDW was suffering like the rest of Orlando it's still not right to be derogatory towards Meg.
As for attendance during mid-week in the middle of October I guess it doesn'tt surprise me that it's not busy. This hasn't traditionally been a busy time. Of course neither was the end of Sept. but I heard it was crowded. Now, when we get to the holiday season and the crowds are way down (and you'll be the one to notice it) then we might have a story.
Again....you have missed the point.
My post referenced nothing about Meg Crofton or whether she should be called the cleaning lady or not.
My post referenced another post reagrding her "allowing" us to hold our Toy Story Mania Party.
As I have tried to explain, repeatedly now....she did not "allow" us to have the party. Disney sold us the party at a very high price. There is a difference.
Could the wording be contrued as being technically correct? Yes, but the inference is that Disney showed us some sort of "good will".
People who purchase park tickets are "allowed" to enter the park. People who pay $14 are "allowed" tp park. People who are willing to pay their check are "allowed" to eat.
I'm hoping you see my point.
Also.....
You can take partial quotes and extrapolate anything you wish from them, but I am telling you exactly what I meant.
As for the crowded parks that you keep referring to.....I'm not sure where you are getting your info....but I dont believe it to be true.
Walt Disney World and the surrounding tourust area are hurting.
Hotel occupancy is at 54%
Disney themselves have stated that people are not spending money once they get to the parks.
Disney has offered free fining into the supposedly busiest holiday season. They have extended the "7 for 4" promo into the busy Spring break season. They are offering FL residents a "weekday" annual pass (Thanks Jack!). They are giving annual passholders 15 months instead of 12 for renewing. These are unprecedented moves and they certainly do not bolster your statements that the parks are crowded and that everything is fine.
Again.....please dont take what I have said as agreement or disagreement as to whether Meg Crofton should or shouldnt be called the cleaning lady.
I have not expressed my opinion and have absolutely no intention or need to do so.
This post is solely to point out that I see some opinions stated as facts and that your quoting me and then extrapolating from that quote, something I never said or intended to say.
And with this post....I am going to back out of this conversation.
I'm allergic to the smell of dead horse.
