That's funny. People post and call regular posters "sheep", then in their next post they say " Why are you offended? I didn't specifically call you out, this is just my opinion!" If you wouldn't say it face to face, you shouldn't type it. Everyone is bold and brave on the internet.

I think he was making an "example", I was joking about being a sheep earlier then alicia called me a frog, so it was tongue/cheek. I beleive Paul was comparing the two to how others act when they are called out on thier comments and back peddle...right Paul? Or I could be way off and Paul is going to clobber me in Dec....

It's no joke. dpuck and I are like brothers. dpuck was making a joke by calling himself a "sheep" because on another thread an individual referred to regular posters, like us, as "sheep", or "cool kids". My post was in support of his humorous post.

If that's what you meant...the asnwer is yes.

If you are asking if Disney is being benevolent and offering us a discount....the answer would then be no.

....but at least the attraction will be clean

Even though I don't post very often and I absolutely love the podcast and the team, I must agree that hearing Pete use the term "cleaning lady" in the manner that he does is upsetting. Some of our grandmothers, mothers, daughters, wives, sisters and best friends are or have been "cleaning ladies" and hearing the term being used as he has been, hurts. It seems to convey that doing this type of work is somehow an indicator of your intelligence and that if you are someone employed in a low-wage, entry-level job, that must be all you're good for.

I think it is far better to respect the fact that the world needs all kinds of people to do all kinds of work and that anyone performing honest work whatever it is, deserves respect.

I have no argument with the content of Pete's rant, but I just wish he would use a different/more appropriate term than "cleaning lady" when referring to Meg Crofton.

I don't know how well they are doing park wise. But they are extending the 7 for four and they are now advertising to Florida residents that they can spend 3 days 2 nights at WDW for about $45 dollars a day. It seems if they were doing allright, they would not be offering these deals. Disney does not offer deals when they believe that you will pay the price they are charging or when they are doing well.

Also I've seen pictures of the wine tastings and they look pretty empty now that they are charging $8.00 for most people. Maybe I'm wrong or in the minority but I'm staying away because of the price increases.

I think you have missed the point.

It was point out that Meg Crofton is allowing us to have the TSM Party.

I explained that we were paying a wildly exorbiatant fee in order to have the party.

This was not a benevolent act on Disney's part. It was business.

They said Epcot was very crowded because we had two weekend days of 73 degree weather and no humidity.

I was in Epcot that following Monday and you could have shot a gun and not hit anyone.

The parks are not crowded....especially during the week.

There it is boiled down. If the price was too high you wouldn't do it, and if the prices were too high for the parks nobody would be there. Based on how well Disney is doing in comparison to other places around it I would say Meg is doing a good job and shouldn't be called the "cleeeeaaaning lady". Even if WDW was suffering like the rest of Orlando it's still not right to be derogatory towards Meg.

As for attendance during mid-week in the middle of October I guess it doesn'tt surprise me that it's not busy. This hasn't traditionally been a busy time. Of course neither was the end of Sept. but I heard it was crowded. Now, when we get to the holiday season and the crowds are way down (and you'll be the one to notice it) then we might have a story.

They are full when they are supposed to be. Remember last April when the parks were closing due to capacity issues? During Disney's last quarterly statement I believe they said park attendance was only marginally off.

They'll keep coming back, however I tend to lean towards Kevin's view on the value you are getting out of F&W rather than Pete's.
