LAX to DL transfers

I've done both. From LAX, I would choose Disneyland Express. It's more comfortable for the longer ride. From SNA, I would choose SuperShuttle, they come more often and it's a short ride. The vans are not as comfortable as the bus.

I will do just about anything to avoid having to take any kind of shuttle or public transportation. So no Super Shuttle, DL shuttle, public bus etc.

I seriously dislike having to stuff into a crowded & hot van with tired adults & cranky kids- my family included! This is just NOT the way I want to start my vacay!
We usually try & rent our own car. If we aren't going to be doing any other driving & a car isn't really needed then we will take a taxi or I will hire a car service.

Frankly, I would much rather shell out $100 for a car service (or whatever price is) & be able to relax & have someone familiar with the city drive us to our hotel. And really- I don't think a shuttle saves that much money....especially when you consider the hassle.

I'm happy to report that our trip to/from Lax went seamlessly. Super Shuttle was a great choice. I really liked having times scheduled for the pick up to get back to Lax. More like the Magic Express to me.

I have a question, if we rent a car, is there a drop off at or around DLR's? We don't need it for the whole week, but would like to do some sight seeing before park days start, we could always take a shuttle/bus back to LAX, thanks.

Yes, several, but renting a car one-way often incurs an exorbitant drop-off fee. It might be cheaper to take the shuttle/bus round trip and rent the car at the DLR area locations. (Google maps "rental cars near Disneyland".)
