Yes, boring I know, but it crossed my mind. We will actually be staying at the Sheraton Four Points, Lakeside. So, if anyone knows about here in particular!! But in general if you use the accomodation laundry do you need to have your own washing powder/liquid etc. TYIA.

I don't know about that resort in particular but I would suggest either brining it from home or stopping at the store just outside of DD and getting some. Those little boxes they sell in the laundry room can really add up if you have a lot of washing to do.

We almost always drive to WDW, so taking a few "extras" is nota problem :). I save plastic 16/20 oz. plastic soda bottles & fill them with my liquid washing detergent. When it is empty, I know Disney will recycle the plastic. Also, don't forget dryer sheets!

A lot of hotels have laundry service. We bought the new Wisk washing tabs for traveling. They pack up easy and no worrys about them spilling. I can bring enough for 4 loads (yeah, like I am going to do 4 loads lol) and it takes up no room.

Have fun!

We had a washer & dryer in our condo at HGVC, plus "public" facilities in the building.

We actually packed light, planning on doing laundry every 4th day (we were there 2 weeks).

We bought detergent once we got there, and it worked out really well (using public + inroom machines).

I was advised NOT to pack detergent in luggage, because drug sniffing dogs also sniff for detergent ... since it is supposedly used to mask the smell of drugs. I figured better safe than sorry!!
