Laundry room issues

Yeah if you're going to stay much longer than 3 nights the additional amenities of the 1 bedroom villa really are worth it I think.
For somebody who is single, and does laundry. I can’t make the value play of a one bedroom. I don’t cook when I’m on vacation and the fridge in the studio is fine for what I need to hold.

As I like to joke for the $2000 difference a week between a studio and a one bedroom. I can literally have the hotel do the laundry for me and come out way ahead.

Or just go shopping LOL!! :tink:

This is why, on the occasions I do stay in a studio, I plan a laundry day, and stay within a few steps of the laundry room at OKW (the laundry rooms are by the pools, there) I hated doing laundry at the Polynesian when a friends and I stayed in a studio. Don;t get me wrong, the Poly is a lovely resort, and their studios with the two bathing areas are awesome, but their laundry room in the original DVC longhouses, isn't the most convenient.

Best laundry time mid week right after park open, Worst time is Friday PM

I liked the Poly laundry but I was staying in Moorea , Best laundries are the ones not near the pool as less non DVC gusts crash ( I like VGF 1 and BC laundry for that reason)

BW has been my worst laundry due to the location, long line and the darn Tie-die shirts they offer that transferred stains to my stuff from people putting them in the dryer.

True, but since OKW is all villas, all 4 laundry rooms are free, so no "crashers."

OKW did get it right with the laundry at the pool areas! If you are going to multi-task, at least one of them should be enjoyable!!

That would really make me mad!! Most people bring new or nearly new clothing on vacation...not cheap! We get the 1 BR at BWV, so I never noticed. I did make a mental note if we ever do stay in a studio - thanks!

Yes just used the Poly laundry and it was not a fun experience. Especially since I wasn't staying in Moorea and then going to the Lava pool and using my phone timer so I couldn't even relax. One washer was out of commission. Also why are there always double the amount of dryers when usually the capacity of a dryer is usually more than that of a washer anyway. Not overly enjoyable but I do love the longhouses.

Most wash cycles are shorter than dry cycles. If it were 1:1 there would be a backlog of wet clothes. People pull them out, and place them somewhere to start another wash cycle as the dryer is busy
