Laundry Options for Studio at OKW

We are staying at a studio at OKW.

Where are the washers/dryers located?

How much per wash and per dry? Do we bring quarters or can money be loaded onto a special card sold through a vending machine?

At some point, the laundry rooms started accepting debit/credit cards.

Washers and dryers are located by the pools. No charge to use them, you will need to provide your own detergent and you will need your Magic Band to get into the laundry rooms.

There is no charge for laundry at Dvc resorts.

The washers for the studios are HE washers.

Very conveniently located by the pools and free of charge. I always wheel it down in a suitcase, throw in my loads and hang by pool while washing/drying. Have to just time it right as there are not alot of washers/dryers in each section. Most are considerate about taking their stuff out in a timely manner, but you will always have that ONE who feels they can leave it there all day.

Most are considerate about taking their stuff out in a timely manner, but you will always have that ONE who feels they can leave it there all day.

And if you see a dryer or washer that is done and the load just sitting in it, watch it for about ten or fifteen minutes. If no one comes to empty it, empty it yourself and use the washer or dryer. Must move the wet or dry clothes to the side, in a basket, whatever, and use it yourself.

You know, I was thinking that it seems that it's too bad they don't have the technology to scan your MB to at least be sure that you're staying at the resort. Or do they now at least have you scan your band to access the laundry room?
