Laundry at Kidani/OKW

Hi!

We rented points and are staying in studios are Kidani and OKW. I remember reading about laundry rooms being available for studios.. but are they coin operated? Just curious how this will work!

They are free but you may need your room key to enter. Pack your own soap I use purell sheets as the easiest to pack.

I think the Kidani washers would be HE models. I am not sure if the OKW laundry rooms at pools are HE or standard.

The Kidani washrooms are located across from the check-in side of the lobby, down the hall towards Community Hall. There is a tv in the washroom. My sister, SIL, and I grabbed our refill mugs and actually enjoyed hanging out in the laundry, visiting while we waited for our clothes to wash!

and not just any TV, a plasma TV with its own remote...there are 2 regular top loading washing machines and then a front loader--six dryers. There is a detergent dispenser and I think they are $1. Can you tell I enjoyed my evenings there. I never leave my clothes unattended. I just use the $1 packs of Tide from Walmart and can usually get two loads out of one packet. We do not use much detergent. No one is ever in there. My trip will be 10/28-11/04...if anyone will be at Kidani those dates grab a glass of wine and meet me in the laundry--we could have a DIS meet there.

the OKW are near the pools - no TV and no place to sit - but you can go swimming while you do the laundry

each pool has a laundry mat

remember no coins - if you find one that is not working just call maintence - lots of time it is because of coins....

You're right - the laundry room at Kidani is quiet. Perfect place for a party.

I typically do laundry while the kids are in the community hall (something like 2 doors down - opposite side) I'll pop back and forth a lot just to keep it interesting.
